i made white bean and bacon soup the other week. I am pretty sure you don't need to soak beans, but I did it anyways.
>Get like a pound of bacon ends and pieces.
I work at Whole Foods, they chop them off of the bacon they smoke in store and I HIGHLY recommend obtaining freshly made bacon pieces. It imparts a nice and smoky taste into the soup. Anyways
>cook the bacon pieces on the stove until crispy on the ends, don't need to be cooked all the way through but it doesn't hurt if they are
>Chop up some celery, onions, and carrots. I did 2 celery, 3 carrots, and a whole yellow onion
>saute them in the instant pot for a bit to release flavors
>add in 6 cups of chicken stock (or there about)
>add in a pound of dry white beans
>add the bacon pieces in
>if you have other aromatics to add, throw them in. I just seasoned mine with dried spices at the end
>give everything a good stir
>cook the dried beans to whatever google recommends in an instant pot. There's a website floating around that explains how time affects texture, I think I would do something like 35 minutes (again, i overnight soaked so I haven't had a chance to test it)
>Salt and season to taste

It's really low effort, and made an ASSLOAD of hearty bacon and bean soup.

Not drinking much these days, just dropping by to say that it's great to see al/ck/ back again. Did the mods finally come to their senses or have you guys been back for longer and I just missed it?

So I really like the blueberry tea from Celestial actually. It's really tasty.

Any other recommendations for some kind of tea with blueberry in the blend?

>Tbsp soy sauce
>Tsp rice wine vinegar (or regular white vinegar if not available)
>Half tsp grated ginger
>Dash of brown sugar
>Few drops of sesame oil
That's what I use for half a cup of uncooked rice. You can use more or less, only the ratios are important. You can top it off with thinly sliced green onions if you like.

I usually go through the sweets. In Germany, we have Reibekuchen on almost every year market, which are comparable to potato hash browns and served with applesauce and a pinch of sugar. Tastes amazing. Also, Stollen, Marzipan and Spekulatius are sold there and they're awesome. I'd really love those markets around Christmas if they weren't so crowded all the time.

From OP's picture, then only somewhat interesting thing would be the chocolate-covered bacon because of the salty-sweet combination. The rest, eh...

I like this idea. However, it has been around ever since this board existed and you should take precautions to not end up like all the other anons before you who had the same idea. Stickies can only be made by mods so you have to find a convincing way to make them sticky and lock your thread. Spamming the same thread every day might work, it could also very well get you banned. I don't know which other ways there are, but you should really come up with a plan.

If you make a sticky, make a wiki as well. Your first "definite guide" will need to be reworked at some time, and it is best to do that within a wiki instead of trying to replace the sticky. Another great thing is that more than one person can contribute, so you don't have to do all the work entirely yourself. And that's great because maintaining a decent wiki takes both time and effort.

If you don't want to go this entire way, I'd say don't even bother. With the current state this board is in, you would also do god's work by posting regular recipe or info threads. If you're experienced, a cook-along would also be good.

>TL;DR this idea is as old as /ck/. Put in some decent effort or don't bother.
