Worked at a local bagel place when I was in college. Started out as a shift supervisor and worked my way up to assistant manager and for a while acting manager. Hated it. The Jewish Lawyer (last time I work for that combo platter) didn't pay us well, broke his word to me about getting a bonus when the manager abruptly quit (his wife got tired of his abuse and provoked a incident where she could call the cops) and I took over his duties. Haven't eaten a bagel since I left that place, which has since closed down.
