>time as an investment
the idea is that you provide for your community and surrounding, neighboring communities so that you aren't making a paper money profit but a traded currency for your time and effort.

if you were self-sustaining in raising your own food, storing it, and growing what you needed for year round use and trade only when necessary then you wouldn't have to worry about someone 'tasking' you with that time and effort.

imagine that. not paying $50 so that the poor saps tasked with heating and tossing your wings in a high-fructose preservative blend of spice of sauces are paid a wage that doesn't even support a standard of living in any of the 50 states.

if you're going to mealprep then it should be a damn meal, representing a majority of the food groups, or at least the food groups you need.
soup and deepdishes would be nice but it should be a reasonable portion with something else if you're planning to make a meal out if it.
the trick with mealprepping is that it's something you gotta get used to doing, not strictly as in every single week (sure, whatever) but as something you do again because you know how to do it better, it shouldn't just be a one time thing because you're on a sparked health-kick similar to a sugar buzz.

the secret to mealprepping of course is the right tupperware and cookware. get those things and you can make just about anything. I always meal prep my meat (I'm up to cooking two different kinds for lunch and dinner), a shit ton of veggies, and my starches are usually cooked on the day I'm eating since that's where I've been adding the most variety lately. If this is all to hard for you then try Quest bars and fruit.

>it's the least shitty thing the average college student has available.
no, it's not.
buy 50mL bottles of spirits and 'some' liquors until you find the kind you like, and the brand as well. you could always buy the most expensive 50mL (shots) you can at any number of liquor stores you have access to until you realize what type you like most and then narrow it down by brand that way.

if you're looking for liquors (pronounced - likoors, not alcohol in general - brands include Fireball, Chambord, Bailey's, Jagermeister, so on...) try the same thing. don't drink liquors by themselves, because people who do typically have a drinking problem.

find the "Periodic Table of Beers" online and hit up the beer threads on here and you're bound to find plenty of chatty fuckers more than willing to break down beer for you as much as i'm breaking this all down for you now. look for a place that sells singles and try to get singles of your major domestics and imports, then see what you like best. if you can handle beer then move onto the craft stuff and really start to understand what you like. they have everything.

the kind of wine you buy is named after the grapes used, unless it's a fruit wine, or mead, sake, absinthe (debated to be a wine), and then find out if you like sweet stuff, dry stuff, really fruity, cold, bubbly, warm. (look up wine charts as well) wine is a lot harder to get into than the rest I say because finding affordable and worthwhile wine requires you to spend a fair amount of money in a business that doens't usually stock decent wines in 50mL bottles.

don't ever feel like you have to buy something when you walk into a liquor store. you aren't obligated to make a purchase. always have your ID ready and never complain about being asked for it. don't be shady in the liquor store. if you have questions, ask someone. if the clerk doens't want to get involved, you're on your own and you should try another day with another clerk.
