My christmas was ruined over fucking roasted parsnips.

>making roasted parsnips for the christmas dinner
>as an extra treat, i decided to sprinkle over a little turmeric
>the parsnips come out with a little orange colouration
>my WHOLE FAMILY gets really fucking annoyed at it for some reason
>dad starts screaming that 'everyone will confuse them with the CARROTS' when they fucking carrots are cut into circles
>grandpa starts getting involved, tells me 'we didn't have this orange shit in the war' and points to the turmeric
>mother gets in hysterics over it
>starts saying that 'nobody can eat those now, how do we know if anyone here likes tuppertic?'
>threatens to cancel the whole christmas dinner and just make sandwiches instead
>dad manages to calm her down
>family agrees that nobody should eat the roasted parsnips
>mum complaints throughout that 'i was really looking forward to parsnips and anon ruined it'
>everyone keeps agreeing
>sisters christmas cracker joke is 'two snowmen are standing in a field and one says can you smell carrots'
>dad adds an extra line
>'NO BUT I CAN SMELL FUCKING TURMERIC PARSNIPS MADE BY A STUPID CUNT'
>everyone fucking laughs at my expense
>ended up eating the whole tray of parsnips by myself
