Im talking with the same samefag in another keto thread, and he can't explain why our digestive tracts are more similar to obligat carnivores like cats and dogs, than they are to omnivores or herbivores.

Here is the answer:
Our digestive tract resembles that of a Dog or a cat, more than it does a Gorilla.
Gorillas also "ferment" their own food, by eating their feces. This is similar to how a vegan ends up often eating their own piss to help with their own nourishment.
In short, we are obligate carnivores. Gorillas are not.
