First of all, there is no such thing as the word "dentation" (you dentidiot). I think you mean dental health? The answer is yes and no. Yes because potatoes, like grains, are a starch, and starchy foods tend to be pretty bad for teeth. And the potatoes that are commonly eaten are particularly starchy. Most tubers tend to be more fibrous, but if starchy tubers are eaten in large quantities I could see it not being too great for your teeth. But if I had to pick between the two I would say potatoes are better than wheat. I have known plenty of meat and potato types who have perfectly fine health. But for me personally I try to eat them in strict moderation.

Fun fact: did you know all parts of the modern potato plant, except the root, is poisonous? Potato plants even produce berries, but don't eat them!
