My dear departed mother made the best cookies, these mean nothing to me.

I moved overseas to teach English while my mother was recovering from chemotherapy.
She got sick, and I got home a few days before she passed.
She was known in the community for her cookie recipe, and I taught at an agricultural school where 1/3rd of the students were focused on cooking.
I was able to teach them my mom's recipe. I'd like to think some of them might use it in the future.
