This isn't quite what you're after but it's a good joke

I was recently staying with my grandpa, and all of the plates at his house have food stuck to them. I said grandpa do you want me to install a dishwasher? He said the dishes were fine and they were "as clean as cold water will get them"
This became a recurring issue as I was staying with him for a short time.

Upon my departure as I was loading my luggage into my car, I was greeted by an old and somewhat grungy looking dog. I hadn't seen it the whole time I was there and I said "grandpa, I didn't know you had a dog" . To which my grandpa replied

"That's coldwater"

My thoughts almost exactly. This looks like something you sent a middle-class child to school with in the 90's.

My second thought is that it was invented as a way to either reduce labor cost or prevent complaints about overcooked/undercooked pizza, maybe both. So many "local favorite" places should be purged.
