I was on mashed rutabaga and mashed potato duty and my mom handed me this tool telling me it's her masher.

>concave handle like a spatula or serving spoon
>thin, flat handle prevents you from getting your fist around for a good mash
>curved shape and smooth metal finish causes your hand to slip down as you mash
>masher face surface are seems wrong - I was literally pressing the water out of the veg while I was mashing

WTF is this piece of shit, /ck/. Badly designed masher? Some other utensil?
