You're right, it's pretty rare, although gin is gaining some traction after years of pushing. It is literally industrial ethanol flavored with berries, and that's how it started in Industrial England. So when craft beer, vineyards, and craft liquors started saturating the market, Gin is the obvious entrepreneur's choice.
So there's been a push on gin, and most of it is forgettable. This is because gin is quite literally a manufactured taste and the best ones define the market. So meme gins don't gain traction.
People are beginning to sip gin and some always have, it's skipped a couple generations, but it's all irrelevant because what this >>14104602 skink didn't understand is that OP is trying to flesh out a guest collection and in that case you are 100% correct: literally no one sips gin and if they do, they had better be used to sipping Tanqueray or they can gtfo. A gin drinker that would turn their nose up at Tanqueray is someone to avoid.
