i bought a big chest freezer about 2 years ago, make a large quantity of soups, stews, stocks, and chili. freeze in blocks, then vacuum seal, and then thaw in the bag in a warm water bath for a fresh home made meal on a day when i don't want to cook.

last time my gf and i made chili it was a ~26 quart batch. pic related

it's pretty practical for someone who likes to cook, needs an extra countertop in their kitchen, and doesn't have time to cook every worknight.

you are so fucking delusional. this is the only thread that i ever post my cooking and participate in because it is usually the only good cookalong that is going on and there are good people in these threads making good food and sharing recipes.

project completed. 18 quarts of chili, with 3 eaten fresh. and the rest frozen in 10 blocks (approximately 2 person servings).
