Have any of you ever participated in a communal table spaghetti eating? It seems like a nice way to bring people together.

Instead of plates you dump the spaghetti at the center of the table and people just dig in scraping spaghetti towards them. It sounds like fun!

I've thought of suggesting this to the pastor of my local church for our next spaghetti dinner night. I think that would be lovely, I just don't know if I should suggest spaghetti and meatballs or spaghetti and meat sauce or try something different like fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and scallops. Thoughts?

It's essentially where there's a glass plate put on the table and big heaping of spaghetti is is placed on it and you just drag the pasta over to you as you eat, without plates.
