You're probably right m8, they probably do have less of a shelf life, I would say they taste better tho. And really, all fruit (it tastes like a veg but should be treated as a fruit/berry) tastes better just on the cusp of rotting. I mean, I'd get it with the vine so I could use it sooner rather than later. But, I'd defer to your advice if I wanted a longer sitting tomater.
