Holodets can literally go fuck itself. Every damn new years the family would throw a feast and this fucking beef edition abomination would pop up on the table.

I'm from a shithole Eastern European country, and live in the USA. Whenever I took girlfriends to meet my parents, they'd make a point of making stuff like fish holodets (pic related), salo (cured pork fat), pickled herring, etc. and seeing if the chick ate it. I don't recall any girl turning down anything. My experience confirms that Americans are too pussy to say no to anything out of politeness. I would've turned this shit down.
