Okay /ck/ I am a fanatic, vehement, militant anti-meme gadget anti-single use kitchen utensil kinda guy.

But I just don't see how I can replicate the effect of a temperature controlled goose-neck kettle with what I have at home (stovetop whistle kettle and no cooking thermometer). Should I splash out for one?
