What coffee maker has the best value?

I've been using Mr coffee drip (Wal-Mart, $20) and after so many uses it makes coffee that tastes like burnt plastic and is generally unpleasant

I want to upgrade to something that does not belong in the dumpster, but can't be too expensive (id say 100 budget)

What's the best coffee maker I can get in that price range? I'm also up to considering one that's not drip
