Im looking for a bocho. it cant be sutenreso-ko (thats knifemaker for stainless) or any inferior jigane. It has to be 1 or more shaku (thats like a foot) and has be be yanagi (willow-leaf) shaped. And must have a kakumaki made of buffalo horn. Also It has to be about 10-20 bux. And you have to post pics of it
first (i want to make shure it's honyaki [true forged]). And it would be nice if it came with matching saya (sheath). OH! and it CANNOT have two shinogi or have a handle made out of plastic. It has to be made of ho wood or something like that. Also it would be nice if it was made in Sakai or Seki and not in Soringen or Thiers (Furansu) or whatever. I have found a knife similar to the one im describing in e-bay, but it was 8 sun and i dont want my kissaki (tip) to touch my other things (it can get wet and i would not like that, plus 1 shaku looks more sugoi).

If you are making proper nigirizushi, you'll waste a lot at first trying to get the cuts to look good, especially if you don't have a long, extremely sharp knife (doesn't have to be Japanese although Japanese knives are more kawaii ^_^)

For this reason, get used to making spicy tuna rolls with the scrap (at first, you may end up with more scrap than actual sushi).

Also if you don't have a good fishmonger near you, Catalina Offshore is supposed to be bretty gud. I have a god tier fishmonger so I don't need that kind of fedex and dry ice nonsense.

Please refrain from mentioning Japanese food and/or rice cookers while visiting /ck/. Although you may not be aware of this (although I think you are), many people posting on 4chan live in culturally deprived areas and have an unhealthy obsession with Japan.

I hope you remember this in the future and refrain from using any key words that can be used as Japan identifiers. It really is not that much to ask and will prevent threads from degenerating into flame/troll disasters.

Some of us also choose to be racist and our racism is not a badge of shame. The inherent superficial and highly opportunistic behavior of untermenschen is not attractive to every bitter white unemployed male, and therefore we do not have to be constantly reminded of your kind while on /ck/. It is not necessary and can be considered, "cultural marxism" (a very just term).
