I don't understand the obsession with this stuff. I ruins any food it touches, even the food it is "supposed" to go with. It's not the hot taste that bothers me as I like hot taste- it's that rancid garlic taste that makes me want to yack.

How does one build a tolerance for spicy foods? I love spicy food, but the hottest things I can handle are siriacha, jalapeños, or a little bit of hot sauce from the halal carts. I know I've reached my limit if what I can handle when my nose starts running and my cough sounds phelgmy.
