I never feel safe or comfortable around other people. It's impossible to relax around them.

It upsets people if you are honest about it. I have to move to a new city every year or two just because the friends add up and ignoring their texts doesn't seem to clue them in

I always drink alone and will until I die. Honestly if every one of you died right now I would be pretty happy

It used to perplex me too, I was pretty much straight edge until I was 22. On my fathers side of the family everyone is an alcoholic, so it was a really ugly vice that I never imagined doing.

But then I got a really stressful job (line cook), and everyone I worked with would go out and get drunk after work. I pretty much became an alcoholic overnight. I've always had terrible anxiety so it seemed like a miracle that I could relax around people.

10 years later and I haven't enjoyed it in a long time

What exactly do you mean by come to terms? I think most of us alcoholics realize we're alcoholics. That doesn't really change anything.

Been on a bender for a week, averaging 2 liters of whiskey a day. Woke up on the floor and I'm shaking uncontrollably, teeth chattering, trembled so violently my leg gave out and I collapsed when I tried to stand.

I'm easily the best alcoholic in south Florida
