Why do people make up stupid stories like this? Even if it were true, you were the one who made the right choice by going with the simple burger, and he was the idiot for getting sushi at a bar that serves burgers (and you were both idiots - or more likely understood the value of paying a little more at a sit-down restaurant - when you decided to order kamikazes). And nobody orders drinks after food.

It’s interesting because there’s always been a portion of /ck/ that just hated restaurants, and thought that professional cooks were all full of shit. But since things changed, now there’s this other dynamic where the self-righteous home cooks have become overwhelmingly youtube posters and think they’re both better than professionals and, because they’ve posted a basic stew or stir-fry once or twice, are also better than anyone talking about fast food or whatever shitty drunken meal they threw together or picked up on the way home. The bizarre thing is that it’s led to the people who claim to be all about OC hating OC or anyone who actually knows what they’re doing, both because they find them pretentious and because they’re often the same people drunkenly eating Taco Bell half the time. I mean, we all know who these people are and where they came from. It all happened over the course of a couple years.
