I recently got dragged to a high school homecoming game. As someone who was not born or go to school in the us, it was an interesting yet confusing display.

The sport itself was almost inconsequential next to the insane amount of sideshows going on. Cheer squads, dancers, bands, halftime shows, lasers, pyrotechnics, nationalist/military propaganda, insane big screen displays, and some weird event where a thot got crowned for some reason? I barely saw anything aside from all the pomp and pageantry.

Folks seem to have been having a good times tho, so all the power to them. But for me it's essentially everything I dislike about the US all rolled up in an evening's event.
