this is the part about gmo's that bothers me as well. the fact that they can drown soybean, or corn and the like popular gmo crops, with roundup, just doesnt sit well with me. the gmo part might not be bad, but come on, they soak those crops in roundup.

i request a study of longterm exposure to roundup residue on foods.

>giardiniera
you can make this using just a salt and water brine and possibly get a better tasting and healthier giardiniera. what you usually get is just a shelf stable store bought product that doesnt allow live cultures to live.

thats a great method for preservation but the thing i understand about using this ferment process is the probiotics that grow and are actually beneficial to our intestinal flora. this is vinegar free, but ill give you a report for sure in about 10 days.

my fall garden starts with brassicas and lotttts of em. brocolli cauliflower and brussel sprouts to start. also yellow squash should harvest before freeze. lettuces kale and chard in the greenhouse hydroponics. i have about 10 potted peppers i want to overwinter but greenhouse isnt big enough for 4 foot tall plants everywhere, so most will have to die. makes me sad.
glad you garden op.

(i grow nothing in the ground)
