I tried it. I do not see the appeal.

Every asian i know rants and raves about putting cheese slices, processed "american style" cheese specifically, in ramen to make it "creamier" but i've tried it in 5 different types. Each time it just mutes the flavour.

Why not boil it in milk if you want milquetoast bland flavours?

Personal taste and all that but throwing in some kimchi to pan fry at the end with the sauces is a much tastier, heartier meal and also doesnt make the noodle clump either.

Did you fall for the cheese in ramen meme?

What are some bulk foods that have a long shelf life that can be used to make tasty, filling meals? It sounds like things are going to hit the fan again in the US soon and I don't want to be stuck without food again like last time. Pls no fighting over if covid is real, no matter what is true the empty grocery store isles were real and I have a family to feed. Currently I have:

>dried beans
>rice
>canned veggies
>dried pasta
>Ramen noodles
>Flour
>sugar
>beef/chicken stock cubes

I typically buy meat in bulk and freeze it, but I don't have a much freezer space. So any recommendations for stuff that lasts a good amount of time that can be kept at room temperature would be cool.

How did I do, /ck/? I'm an absolute beginner at cooking, but today I tried to make stir-fried ramen with eggs. Used two hot pepper instant ramen packets, basically just cooked them as normal except with less water and in a frying pan, and made two eggs fried in a bit of butter and some of the spicy broth that I placed on top. It tastes pretty good, but I probably shouldn't have used both pepper flavor packets, it's a little spicy.

I've been living on my own for about 4 months now. My dinners consist of
>pic + 1/3rd of a sausage
>pic + 1 scrambled egg
I usually add ketchup or BBQ sauce so it isn't so bland. Sometimes instead of rice I use pasta.
My breakfasts are usually
>toast with honey
>toast/bagel with jam
>toast/bagel with butter
>bagel with cream cheese
I sometimes add an egg on top .
My lunches are pbj sandwiches, maybe packaged ramen on the weekends.
My main drink is tap water.

What are some alternatives I can eat without spending more money? (≈$150 for a month of food)

Can we just have a normal thread about cooking? Post what you like to make, doesn't matter if its simple or gourmet as long as it actually requires preparation (no ramen or canned shit, etc)

Is getting to enjoy food again worth the loss of dignity?
