Congrats. Looks legit (hem and cuff match the lace patterns in the wayback machine). Super old and pretty rare, unless I'm mistaken, because I don't see black x black on any of the other listings.

(also I think this is way prettier than the black x off ones!)

Ok, so, I found BOTH dresses in the waybak machine after a little digging.

It looks like the lolibrary entries are second-hand data, not direct from the wayback machine.

Here is Isabel OP: https://web.archive.org/web/20011208110930/http://www.babyssb.co.jp/order/op/125314.html

And here is Elizabeth OP:
https://web.archive.org/web/20011208175718/http://www.babyssb.co.jp/order/op/125311.html

Black x Black was an option in 2001, and it was make to order. I'm going to update lolibrary with the other colorways of both, the missing images, sizing, item numbers, fabrics, and the info about which lace goes where on Elizabeth.

Unless Elizabeth was released under multiple names, I'm certain that's an all black Elizabeth. But that's the only place I can find it.

So the page says this in Japanese:
エリザベスワンピース
数年前に受注生産のみで作られた、
とても贅沢で華やかな別珍OP。
贅沢な分、無茶苦茶重いです。
リボンがサテンリボンなのが残念。
値段上がってもいいから、リボンは
ベルベットリボンにして欲しかったです。
バックスタイルもゴージャス。
特にウエストリボンは見事なぐらいです。
一人で結べません;

The important bit is this (edited from google translate):
Elizabeth OP
Made to order only, from a few years ago.
Very luxurious velveteen OP (!!!!)
It's very heavy,
Ribbon is satin ribbon, which is sad because
I wanted velvet ribbon.

Anyways, the camera timestamp on the photos is Jan 6th 2005, so if the person posting here has one that is velveteen then we are likely looking at a 2003 or earlier dress (2004 would have been "last year")

I was thinking something involving pins or clear fishing wire, but photoshop makes more sense

Yeah, I'm gonna have to if it's going to even come close to working; that's what I meant by making little strips of 3-5 images in a row. I'm taking the photos in front of a white double door. It's not super fancy / pretty, but it's relatively plain. IDK if I want to take the time to cut each thing out though; I'm pretty worn out and I don't think I've done even a third of the photos yet.

Well, yeah, there always are. It's more common when people are re-using pupegirl photos or sales photos and/or have smaller wardrobes.

LJ posts have a max of 65,535 bytes (trivia: in mySQL that's the length of a 'text' field type). It's roughly something like 21,000-22,000 characters.

A single linked image when I upload them to my webserver is ~167 characters. Each item name & brand typed out without links is something like 50 characters on average. A short two sentences about a piece is another 250 characters.

So that means if you photograph things separately, it comes out to you hitting the limit at roughly 96 photos with just the names.

If you write two sentences on each photo, you can only post like ~45 photos. So it's physically impossible for me to post all my socks separately.

Oh god, I'm imagining taking photos of single socks and I can't stop laughing. No, No, I'm not taking photos of single socks alone. I'm going to lay out as many socks as will fit in the frame, snap, repeat. Same with accessories. I'd be here a year if I put a single pair of socks in a single photo.

Anyways, I have over 100* dresses and skirts right now. Last year I hit the limit when I paired two dresses per photo. This year, I'm taking photos on a dressform, so I figure I'd line up 3-5 photos in a strip and save them as a single image to save on how much text is put in the LJ post. I can totally write a little about each piece; but I'm not sure if it would fit. What I'm wondering is if people would rather seem more text with smaller photos, or larger photos with less text.

* I'm taking photos of my stuff and my girlfriend's stuff at the same time; I think I have roughly 100 main pieces on my own, and then she has maybe another 25, but I'm not 100% sure. So I'm looking at maybe 100-150 dresses and skirts? She's too busy sewing to make a post of her own this year, but wanted to share.

A friend linked me here and I really don't want to get into all the details but no, I haven't done any coding for lolibrary (I'm just too tired after work). Yes, Alice has. She stopped because she was asked to, because we needed to stop and plan, and no one really had the time for it. So the stopping was a mutual agreement by all parties.

I'm in no way speaking as an official representative of the site right now, this is all my interpretation of things, void where prohibited, limited time offer, etc, etc, etc

I was looking for a different post because a friend said my name came up about something, but just to clarify, Raine Bunny Consignment isn't a business. It's my closet, I consigned it to my girlfriend because I suck at selling. We don't sell anything else except my stuff.

I was turning into a lolita hoarder because I was never around to ship out sales so I never made sales listings because I work terrible hours.

It was a problem.

Moderators usually manage administrative tasks like approving new members, and deleting spam posts. In some communities, they can also mediate if members aren't getting along, and other little things like that. My community for example, is over 300 people, and we have 4 moderators right now. A community that is much smaller might not need any moderators.

Most communities have events planned by individual members, though of course moderators are also members and can and do plan events.

I would be concerned, personally, if a moderator was the only one permitted to make events. That seems a little harsh! Especially if she's not around!

Someone linked me to this and I was really debating if I should answer or not, because I don't really want to be like a total creeper, but I just wanted to put it out there that if you've had any issues personally with one or more of the moderators of the comm, you are welcome to talk to a different moderator about it in confidence. I'm not aware of any instance where there has been drama with myself or our other moderators? I'm sorry if there has been, or if you or someone you know feels they have been treated unfairly.

If it wasn't something to do with me, you are always welcome to message me on FB, LJ, or tumblr with your concerns.

I ran a gaia-style site for a few years and helped with a few others. Basically at the end of the day you have to find a programmer who loves it, and is in school. Once you get out into the work world, most programmers just don't have the time, or the energy to code major projects outside of work.

It's also a tremendous amount of work for the artists, and from a money standpoint it's unlikely to do much more than pay for it's own hosting costs and maybe buy a pizza for the staff once in a while, if you are lucky.

I'm having a lot of trouble finding anything about this. However my best guess is that it's going to be something like チャーミングスカート (Charming Skirt) from 2008.
http://web.archive.org/web/20081219020229/http://www.angelicpretty.com/shopping/sk/82s-1254/82s-1254.html

There was a Charming JSK (
チャーミングジャンパースカート) that has a skirt part that is really, really close to this: http://yaplog.jp/ap-tokyo/archive/2894

The girl who passed away was one of the founders of Lolibrary. Lolibrary's hosting is managed by a different founder and will continue to be managed by her. Multiple people have backups of lolibrary's database as well.

Hello lace is owned by LJ user boxx2genetica, unless I'm mistaken. Ask her if you have questions.

For what it's worth, she's in a much better position than I am to put together something like this, a stronger programer, and has followed through with things consistently for lolibrary.

At the end of the day, I didn't have the security knowledge to feel comfortable going live with reruffled using the platform I was working with and when I later started working with someone who did, my health and free time took a nose dive; it just didn't work out. Green Tea is in a much better position, to the extent of my knowledge to follow through on something like this, is highly capable, smart and far more reliable.

I'm looking at your account, and it's set to active, so, you should be able to log in and make entries, and what will happen is they will go into a review queue, and a admin will review the entry, just a quick look over to make sure everything is formatted right. If anything is off, what we do is just fix it really quick, and then send a PM saying like "oh, hey, by the way, we try to put this bit of data here instead of there, just for the future" or something like that.

If you can't log in, let me know.

If you have specific questions about how to format things, or how specifically to make a new entry or anything, please feel free to send me a PM over there, and I can go over anything you want to know (just because IDK how long this thread will be here and it's getting late here). There is a guide (http://lolibrary.org/content/posting-guidelines)) though it's slightly dated I think... and for anyone who really is making a lot of entries and wants to really get involved, we do have a group on FB for the major contributors (as well as a facebook page which can also be used to contact an administrator if you need help with an account).

I agree that it would be easier if you could download from the lightbox :3 (There is actually another developer who has made all of the changes lately who is super awesome and super talented though; don't give me any credit for her work! ^_^ I've really not been able to help much at all with code.)

That said, until we can make it more user friendly, if you CRTL+click or right click -> open in new window on the thumbs you can skip the light box and it lets you save them. (that's what I do right now)

New releases from start to finish, or old stuff from start to finish? because if we are talking old stuff, then that's not a small job. I had another thought I wanted to type, but I'm like... ready to pass out and it flew away.
