Yea. It's unfortunate. I was hoping for some other shots where it doesn't look that way but alot of photogs 'pop color' and then the wig looks more bright and intense than it should. I'll have to go back and darken it further i suppose. It was my first go at sharpie dying wigs.

I bought a crimson magnum wig from arda and even sharpie dyed it darker to this tone. It's just what happens whem i'm 3 feet from a light shining right on me.

This was the only pic i've gotten back from the con of my Shadow of the Colossus cosplay and i have yet to find any hallway shots. I think this tends to be the story of everyone's life with photos. People who recognized me flipped their shit which was fantastic.
Im working on more costumes for other people to help me afford lolita accessories. I paid up Haenuli for the Phantom of the opera dress so i'm just working on a coord.

Im the one wearing the badge on the right. Probably one of my favorite hall shots so far. I don't put makeup on my hands just because I don't want to be handling shit and have anything rub off on other peoples stuff. I seal it but you still get small amounts that rub off. Im thinking of investing in an airbrush but all in due time. I don't have any wander from sotc photos back yet otherwise I'd post those

Working on Grell Sutcliff's trench coat for a friend. Worked on patterning and cutting out fabric yesterday as well as a majority of the sewing. I did a bunch of nit picky shit today, tacking everything down and just making sure it's all sitting as it should. It's lined with the same fabric and this was pretty god damn easy to put together. I really can't complain.

Harry styles from one direction made a comment on twitter about wearing a crown of flowers . Fans saw it and started bringing flower crowns to concerts. Harry wore said flower crowns while on stage thus fueling the fandom. There was also something separate that happened with the TV show Hannibal and a character made a mention about wearing a crown of roses. Then tumblr got a hold of both of these instances and ran with them. There's a YouTube video of it.I'll look it up after work

Water colors won't hold to the fabric and stay in place. It might right now but if you ever plan on washing this, nothing will hold. You should always use fabric paints.

Honestly i'm not surprised it'd creep you out but i did it to match what i felt the character would have access to. To be fair, the only thing that phased me personally was the smell, and i'm a janitor so i've smelled some shit. I didn't gag or anything just damn. It's not for everyone though, i get it.

Just got some more of my pics back. My friend likes to play around with the colors, remove unecessary objects, like boats and shit. We were out a state park and it was seriously the hottest fucking day. Also, inb4 fattychan. Yea, working on losing some weight. Slowly but surely. As much as i love this costume, the one regret i have with it, is that it does nothing for what little figure i have. Makes me look 30-40lbs heavier. I'm happy with the quality of this outfit. I did dirty everything up, it just doesn't come up in photos as well.

Incoming terrible photoshop. What i started out with is in the bucket, then i cleaned them, then repainted to look dirty. Also there was a huge online consensus that his dangly bits were bones so thought it would be neat to use bones instead of just dowels. I felt it would add something considering what the character would be around/have access too. It was actually a really fun experience and i'd totally do this again if i needed.

They were cleaned. I repainted them to look dirty. I posted the clean photo up on acen so they were stark white. Sorry I should have clarified. That photo was after painting them. This was after cleaning.

Fucking go for it. I used deer bones i pulled from a rotting carcass for my Shadow of the colossus cosplay. I posted it up on the acen fan page and one chick freaked the fuck out about it. Mentioned how it was disgusting and how dare i do that. Even had to go to the lengths of explaining that the deer was already dead. I'm recycling. Also, it was a great learning experience. Just because someone else doesn't feel comfortable using real bones/fur doesn't mean you can't do it. Although i wanted to smack my husband because he was wondering how the deer died. Told me "I wonder if it was chronic wasting disease".
