Looking good! You going to E2? I might need to take a trip to the Marcher camp, at least to thank the national assembly for their motion at E1 for Briar burials.

8/10 would purge.
Kinda wish my 40k larp would go this over the top, but we tend to run in the UK larp - off season so the weather up here is a bit chilly for that.

>kilt

Please no.
Also, "clan" tartans are a thing created in the 19th century. Historically, you'd find a rough corolation between colours/designs and certain geographical areas, but that was more to do with what dyes were available than any desire to identify with a group. Most clans wore a mixture of tartan, all depending on what the owner could afford to buy.

If you do deside to go with a kilt, get a proper one made, not some shitty lightweight nonsense. Something made of at least 16 ounce per yard and 8 yards of fabric.
This will keep you warm in cold weather, and be rugged enough not to get trashed.

Never been to Vale, but seen pics of the ratfolk, love their costumes.
Your friend has good taste in Empire nations. Dawn is my next choice if my current character dies.

Had an Empire IC social event last night. Was incredibly good fun, the host group put on a crap load of very tasty food, and sang some 4 harmony songs that they had written themselves. There was politicking, laughter, and almost a tear shed at one of the songs. Gossip was said and plans were hatched. Making deals with some of the top 1% of politically important folks hasn't been so much fun.

Was feeling rough as fuck this morning though.
Sadly no pics.

I am rather gutted that the costume brief for my Empire nation means I can't have a codpiece.

Oh god, I love this. So much I kinda want my character to die so I can make another that would use these!

A bunch from Urizen in Empire made lights out using a heat gun, like the kind you strip paint with to warp plastic drinks bottles. The heat deforms them and the plastic becomes somewhat opaque. They then stick an LED in the bottom. When they are lit up they look like glowing crystals.

This wasn't really a game, just an IC catch up from what everyone did/learned last event. Next Empire is the end of May.
I did just get made Thane of our Hall since out current one is joining another Nation due to IC marriage sometime this year.

And I'm just off to an IC social food and booze night with others from my Hall to catch up after the last Empire game that I sadly missed.

You'll definitely want to be outside if you plan to Isoflex your weapon. This will make it more durable, but the fumes are rather toxic.

Now I need to visit the States just to feast there.

Not a big fan of location based hit pools. Much prefer how Empire does it:
Everyone has base HP.
Armour adds on (Light - 2, Medium -3, Heavy - 4)
Every weapon does one damage, but different types have differing calls that they can do a couple of times per day. Two Handers can shatter shields/weapons they hit. Polearms can knockdown opponents, one handers can cleave someone, making limb useless or dropping someone entirely if hit in the chest.
Bow/Crossbows do Impale, that has the same effect as Cleave but only Heavy armour protects against Impale but medium/heavy protects against Cleave, causing the attacks to do one HP instead.
Means that if the monsters have a shield wall you send in the Two Handers to shatter them, or the Polearms to knock em on their arse.
It's simple. Very few calls to remember. And no maths needed.

I still see and scene with Sal 3-4 times a year due to No Rest For The Wicked, probably going to see her even more if I start Stargate and she starts Empire.

I have a couple of Eldritch weapons, pretty reasonable for what you pay. Nothing overly special.
Had them for over a year and no noticeable wear and tear yet,

Most leather armour is fucking awful shit. Never wear it by itself, rather layer it over chain and it can look decent,
Never do black leather. Just don't

>sloughs off/becomes unattached really quickly if you sweat at all
This, during the height of summer, the bark prosthetics on my forehead were a nightmare. The spirit gum kept melting and small dribbles would run down the side of my face. I made a joke out of it saying it was just sap leaking out.

If you're on about Epic Empires in Germany, then no.
If you are on about Empire in the UK, I won't be at E1 but will be at the other 3.

>> No.8133470 [View]

I've never used it. Warm water seems to do the job for me. Granted I don't have giant prosthetics to wear, just some bits of latex to look like bark.
