Yes! I had the complete collection of each series that followed Rook, Quint and Twig. I loved them so much that I donated all my books to the local library hoping other kids would read them. I just recently picked up The Sleeper and the Spindle and had some serious nostalgia hit me. His work is really detailed and amazing.

I wouldn't focus on "carrying brands" or primarily market the shop towards Lolitas or j-fashion wearers. There are not enough Lolitas in France to make this kind of shop successful (and we already have AP and Baby Paris for that). I'd just carry cheap/cute clothing from Asia, especially Japan, and sometimes more or less known brands.

I'm French, so no foreigner business ownership law for me.
I'm looking into business startup costs and imported goods law ATM, but that wasn't the point of my question here.
I plan on doing surveys and extensive research for choosing the shop's location and studying the targeted demographic and the shop's competition.

How old I am is personal. ;)

Just verified the shipping rates - FromJapan offers EMS, Airmail, Surface Mail, SAL, small packets, and FedEx. FedEx is outrageously expensive for what I wanted to do (800 usd to ship a 20kg package, really?) so I think the website I gave is wrong. I'm thinking about using Surface Mail, as I'm not too worried about my packages taking long to arrive, and it's not that expensive (10000 yen for a 20kg package)

Hi /cgl/,

I've been thinking of opening a secondhand lolita/regular Asian clothing shop in France. Basically, I'd buy large quantities of really cheap Japanese/Chinese/asian clothing on mbok/y!japan/taobao, get them shipped to France and sell them to make a profit.

I was thinking of buying items like these (http://www.mbok.jp/item/item_406470335.html?_RC_SRC=PI,1 -> 60 cardigans), Axes Femmes clothing sold in bulk on mbok, luckypack leftovers (I found some for less than 1000yen), and maybe a bit of 'brand' lolita (but it'd be a small range, and it'd be much more expensive).

However, to do these, I need a shipping method that'd let me send huge packages (maybe 10-20kgs - or more - at once?). I've looked up TNT economy and FedEx Economy via http://www.interparcel.com/ and they don't look bad, any opinions ?

I'd also need an SS who'd be OK with getting packages, and not shipping them him/herself, or who'd offer the aforementioned shipping methods - any recommendations ?

Thanks a lot for any help you can provide !
Kate

This thread just reminded me of all the reasons I come here. I would give all my money for this to happen.

Especially this: >>6308212

>>6308066

i wasnt talking about people in this thread obviously

1) a rifle is a rifle, and a bench is a bench- there are no "bench rifles" and most rifles can fit most benches. you wouldnt call a rifle a "bench rifle" in the same way that you wouldnt call a rifle a "foxhole rifle" unless for some reason someone specifically custom built a rifle be used with a specific bench or foxhole- which frankly is pointless

2) all 20"? no they arent

3) im out of here anyway, im enthused to talk about firearms- but only in the same way that a cosplayer would be enthused to talk about cosplaying with other cosplayers

nice fun fact i did find from the main article tho http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rifling

>A bullet fired from a rifled barrel can spin at over 300,000 rpm, depending on the bullet's muzzle velocity (MV) and the barrel's twist rate.

i never realised it spun that quickly, though i did have an idea that the longer the barrel is (with presumably more twists or with a higher twist rate) the messier the splatter

ha and so many /k/ates still dispute that the length of the barrel dosnt matter

>> No.6308031 [View]

>>6308013

so its just called a "rifled barrel" it seems

a polygonal rifled barrel is just one way of rifling a barrel

i never realised that threading the cockscrew in a barrel was called rifling it

who'dun thunk it

why am i a troll? did you not understand the article?

>> No.6308000 [View]

i still dont know the actual name for the corkscrew barrel, so if any /k/ate here actually knows, id be delighted if you could tell me

i never considered before that it might sound like im just making it up

ah there we go

obviously A. is an entrance wound and B. is an exit wound

the exit wound will be bigger the more distance it travels through the body- im sure you can imagine how the dynamics of the motion are like

the bullet is spinning on contact, so it begins to wrap all the soft and fleshy internal bits around itself as it travels through the body and leaves dragging all the innards out.

i can tell you from first hand witness that clean shots through the cranium produce the largest exit wound and messiest splatter

all those scenes you see in movies where heads explode by gunshot are about half correct

>> No.6307956 [View]

>>6307935

yup, wounds characterised by rounds fired from this type of barrel will have very tiny entrance wounds, but massive exit wounds and major rupturing of internal organs

i cant find a comparison picture on the internet for some reason

and by the way the rounds you want to use for maiming are hollow points not FMJ, regardless of the size of the round

>>6307933

do you?

why would you even ask such a basic question

you already did seem ignorant of so much about firearms that i regret having gone into detail

this is what a corkscrew barrel looks like from the inside.

what it does is it drives the bullet into a spin as it leaves the barrel, so it will be spinning in mid air and as it hits the target it will bore its way through like a drill

most modern rifles have corkscrew barrels, except the cheap stuff from china

>>6307908

Naw im perfectly serious.

5.56s from GPMGs can shore off limbs on contact.

now im not exactly sure what the name for the corkscrew barrel is, but thats what we reffered to it as

ill see if i can find an illustration on the webs

>> No.6307903 [View]

>>6307886

youre kidding right?

5.56's are designed to kill

unless you modify the rounds- which is illegal

on the plus side, with a corkscrew barrel you could make a big messy splatter from the exit wound

and even take off limbs, which is always entertaining

pffftt, what are you a baby?

stick with the iron sights

next thing you know you'd want a rifle strap too.
