LJ is pretty easy to use, just go register for your sock account and you can make posts to the forum, leave anon on and hit reply to just comment :)

It's not just PT though, we want a place where we can post all the drama shit we want. It seems like some of the free forums may be our best bet but I can't set that up until I get home. Others are, of course, free to try out and link their forum ideas.

black face wasn't done as a way to honor any black figures, it was done to mock them. It was also done in an exaggerated and unnatural way so as to emphaize how stupid they looked. Getting a tan or darkening your skin isn't that, it's clearly different and meant to look natural, so no it's not blackface and anyone who thinks it is seriously needs to learn how 2 history.

Yah, the only think I'm worried about is being able to make posting anon (which LJ doesn't allow). The gyaru girls, I believe, are on LJ and Rioche'.net, both require logins to make posts, and I think Rioche is a paid server, which I would totally be willing to move to once we get established.

I wouldn't want to move to a paid server unless we eventually got enough people on LJ or some other forum. From what I've seen all the free servers do require some sort of login, but at the same time these are easy to make with lame-duck e-mails and fake info.

I am making this thread here ONLY BECAUSE there are a lot of people who want a forum just for cosplay and J-fashion lolcows. I know that this isn't on topic, but I am asking Janitor to please leave this up so that we can organize and maybe get out of CGL's hair (I think this may make it easier on Janitor, because if we have somewhere to go there won't be people posting rouge PT threads that need to be cleaned up).

So Forum General! I don't think we're at all organized, the LJ I made looks like shit (I'm terrible with making themes, so if someone wants to be a mod and make one I would really appreciate it) and IS LJ THE RIGHT FORUM? No one can make new threads as anon on LJ, so is there a better place to do this? If you guys have any ideas I'd love to impliment them right away.
