I'm trying out acrylic badges as an alternative to buttons. They're pretty cheap through vograce. I'd love to get lapel pins done since people collect those like crazy.

Currently I'm looking into getting hardshell 3DS xl cases done.

I got into Magfest, so I can't complain. Sie got into Katsu and that makes me happy. But man, the majority of my friends didn't even get in. ;; Like Raspbeary was straight up rejected.

Haven't had that problem yet but it's good to know for a heads up.

I think it's the matted coating that they're using. Zap's matted comes off even when you accidentally drop the charm but their glosses are studier.

Going to order an epoxy sample next order and get back with you guys.

They've gotten a lot better from when they first introduced them. I wasn't impressed by them at first either. They're images were pretty low rez and had gradient issues. Then, a few months later, I did another sample order with them and they got a lot better. The charms done for AWA were a lot better than my last order from Zap (who dropped the bomb on me)

I'm hoping they fix is the border size. It's perfectly fine on large charms and stands but if you get something made that's smaller than 2 inches it's an eyesore.

You can ask. I showed Coco a photo of one of my colored charms Zap made and she had that color acrylic. I'm planning on getting some samples with the color done with both the sandwich style and printed directly on the acrylic.

Vograce is doing spot whites on clears now. They'll also have colored acrylics and wood soon.

I screencapped and linked everything I could to Coco. She's now blacklisted on Vograce.

It depends on the company you go to, but most seem okay with you just sending in jpgs and them vectoring for you for free. If you have vector files that's a plus though. They usually send files back to you to edit, update, and approved.

This file, from who I'm currently working with, should help answer your other questions.

Might jump on their washi tape but the acrylic prices are high starting for a 1 sided clear charm.

I've used Vograce's PVC option and while they'll accept lower qtys, they're not the cheapest. They are very nice high quality PVC products if you DO plan on using them though.

If you're going to go the PVC route be prepared to pay around $200-400 just to get a 3-4 designs done. Reorders are cheaper due to the molds already made from your design.

I just measured it and it's about 25 inches in it's holder. I never took it on as a carry on. I just throw it in my tote since it takes up little room. It should fit in a 29 inch suitcase.

Here's a photo for ref. Hope that helps.

>It's about the size of a large umbrella so you can fit into a tote bag pretty easily
>It's smaller and more portable.

Unlike a traditional backdrop this clamps onto a table so it smaller and lighter. That's why I recommended it.

I own one of these if I'm traveling by air and my table is 6ft. It's about the size of a large umbrella so you can fit into a tote bag pretty easily.

Highest it goes is four feet from the table. Hope this helps you!

I'm getting a few new sources for charms including clear and metal ones as well as testing out some PVC/rubber keychains. I did get some metal charm samples via alibaba, but I was disappointed with the results. I did find a company that looks promising.

I'm also getting samples for things like wallscrolls, clear files, stationary, and some US places for mugs and lanyards and other things.

May take a minute but I'll update the source list as things come in.

Don't worry about it. I really love to hear concrit. Input on what I need to fix is pretty important to me. If I'm same facing I need to fix that, immediately.

Thanks anon! Please don't hesitate at giving me art advice in the future.

Yo, I'm following the same rules as everyone else. If charms, stickers, etc aren't allowed to be posted on wednesday anymore, so be it. I won't do it, and I'm not immune to the rules. I didn't even post on this wednesday, and I toned down posting stuff in general, so I don't even know what you're salty about.

It's pretty good. It helps clean up the group a lot and it's not like WIP and SPS threads don't already linger around for a few days anyway.

Arts-cow threads are a bit annoying but they're helpful to get merch so I don't mind them.

Coco was on vacation for a few days but she's back to answering emails. Hopefully Sie gets their stuff replaced. She also emailed me these so their planning on adding them to their services soon.

I'm at the 3K-4K range but this is the first year I'm carrying more items than prints and zipper bags and it's increased greatly each show. Making a push for to do requested items. Finally hooked to Haikyuu so I'll be drawing some sports anime stuff. The end of the month I have my first dealer room spot so I get to see what if that changes anything for me.

I wanna try out Zap's new printer but they seem to be making the same mistakes as their old one. This came from my friend's order just recently and she ordered $300 dollars worth of charms. Dave got really aggressive with her on AANI which turned me off to ordering with them also.

I'd definitely email them and ask if they can replace the dust particle charms. I have had issues with dust as well.

What print process are you doing? Are you doing screen printing?

>> No.8413621 [View]

Yeah that's the hard part is whether it's worth it or not. To be fair though a lot of people don't have problems using sites like arts.cow that are also in China? The problem I see more is people stealing artwork that's online and taking them to these companies to get printed, rather than the actual company straight up stealing it. (Though it's very possible that could happen)

Double edge sword indeed. This is why I mainly stick to sending off older designs or simple fanart. I've had good luck with the places I use so I'm knocking on wood.
