Not sure if this is the right place to post this. But, I was linked to this thread by someone who still lurks this board. I do speak to a few ladies from the contest days and have lost contact with the majority of them.

I wanted to just say hi and say that I honestly missed those contests a lot. As some of you know I did struggle with my health and it was life threatening for some time, to the point that my husband had to retire to take care of me. But, I don't want to derail this thread too much! I just wanted to say that I missed you ladies a lot.

Sorry for the confusion. I will be busy until the 7th. But, the start date for submissions will be on the 11th and the last date to submit an entry will be on the 23rd. The judges and myself will make our decision and announce the winners on the 25th.

This will give people enough time to get their head-shots together ahead of time. You can send it to me privately on FB if you have me friend. It's okay to send it to me ahead of time as well.

I was saying the contest would run on for 2 weeks (14 days) starting from the 11th of Jan and submissions would be closed on the 23th of Jan. With the winners being announced in the morning on the 25th.

We don't want this running on too long, people lose interest and things get drawn out. Does that sound good?

I will be tried up until the 7th of Jan, because of the holidays and family. Right now, I'm hammering out the details, before everything starts.

I've been on 4chan for many, many years. Mostly lurked and would either post in /ck or /tv/....when /cgl/ had beauty threads, hair, makeup, contacts or a convention close to me. I would post, just not trip, because I'm not looking for attention. I'm now in my late twenties, with time on my hands. I took part in Idol contest briefly, but revoked my entry because I realized it wasn't for me.

This whole thing stemmed from me lurking in threads, reading how disappointed seagulls were posted with these types of contests and someone said, "We could do so much better." ...Bam, the idea hit me. I remembered the idol contest, everyone put so much effort into it and got nothing out of it in the end and that was a shame. I'm not doing this for anything in return or asking for anything. I don't have blogs or anything like that for people to follow. Why, can't I just be a nice person that wants to do something nice? We do exist you know. I'm drama free, not apart of any community.

Please read the rules now, I have reflected all your concerns about people getting their hands on your no-makeup pictures. Those pictures will now be sent to me privately, so worry not.

It hasn't started yet, right now I'm trying to smooth everything out. Because, I couldn't do it before with my ban. But, all of this needs to be finalized before the end of this week (28th Fri). I need help, possibly two judges if the current one I have now doesn't start helping out.

Alright, if you girls are really afraid of having to show your no-makeup face. I can understand that, enough of you have raised the concern that it isn't about being shamed, but what people might do with those pictures. That, I can completely understand.

Then, I will require you to submit that picture to me privately. To authenticate your entry and help crack down on cheating. It also helps me see how much you've transformed.

I fill reflect all of this in the rules. I hope this helps and I won't be changing the rules again after this. You won't have to post the before picture in the collage now, for privacy concerns.

Why, because they have to show their natural faces. But, if they send me a picture with the required information and no makeup. Then post up a picture of their entry all done up...then they will enter the contest?

I keep saying, I need help. It's just me right now and I'm not getting any help. I keep asking for two other judges, because this is a lot of any one person to juggle. If I had someone helping me, things would be running a lot smoother. So, please be understanding of this.

Anyways, right now. It seems like I'm doing this on my own. I only have one judge and she seems busy right now and I've been seeking out another one. I will ask if she's still interested in the job and if she's not. I will need to find two new judges. I posted the name for the Fan page with all the information on there (excluding the set dates and final prize list)

The list of rules, shows the J-fashion looks that are allowed. Read what I said it, you'll find something >>6506716 to help you. Like I said before, I'm trying to word it differently. Because, it doesn't seem like people are getting the meaning of J-fashion transformation. Maybe, makeover is a better word. I did find a youtube video that you can glance at, but you'll be showing the entire outfit as well, she only shows from the waist up. Makeup is important to J-fashion plain an simple. Regardless of the look, they all use makeup. Some for a natural look, some for a heavier look. Hair and makeup is very important to J-fashion looks.

Please lets pay some attention to this and get off this subject. DasDollhaus Those are the rules, I'm not changing them anymore. You need to be a bit more comfortable in your own skin and not be ashamed of it. I understand its a big leap for a lot of people, but it seems a ton of girls prefer the original rules and so do I. This is just for the girls of cgl and its not being posted anywhere else. It won't be much of a transformation contest without a before and after, so this requires a natural face. Also, I need know this is actually you and I want to be able to see your hair, makeup and other accessories. When you do a makeover, they use head-shots to show the before and then a head-shot of the after, then a body shot to get the full effect of the makeover.

My ban just lifted a few days ago, I just hammered out the final rules and now, I've been asking about dates. I threw some up and no one responded.

The reason why the video is short, is because that was one of the teaser videos. I had made longer videos, but was having issues posting them. And in the rules, I do mention how many winners there will be, just read them. The only thing missing, is the dates which need to be set and then I can throw down the prizes (which I'm still gathering more stuff). Sorry, I won't be discussing prize stuff no more. Please ask me on the fan page about that stuff. I feel like I'm pushing my luck already.

When you watch a makeover show, do people get all dressed up and not put time into hair and makeup as well? Is that considered a makeup competition? No, it's a makeover/transformation.

This is exactly what this is, a complete makeover into your J-fashion alter ego. I would like to see everything, what you put together to wear and how your hair and makeup looks. I can see the effort people put into their looks and judge it based on that. So, this contest is unforgiving to someone who usually puts ZERO effort into what they do, because it will show.
