Removed all of the well-known "booth babe" cosplayers, like Yaya. Basically, what >>7804094 said.

Oh god, now I've remembered a story.

>go to a convention about a year ago
>decided to not wear a jacket in the middle of the winter
>it starts snowing heavily as i'm getting closer, i start getting REALLY cold because the windchill was almost deadly that day
>feel like i'm gonna pass out or something
>make it to the con, walk in, find a few friends
>try to say hi, i'm a stuttering, freezing mess
>warm up after about half an hour, think things are going well
>i was wearing a wig with two braids and bands in them, notice one of the bands keeping the braid done was missing
>i don't have any makeup on at this point either so i look like a mess
>skip to a bit later, my friend and i go to the washroom to do our makeup and stuff
>i get some pretty rude comments and such, whatever, no biggie
>finish with my makeup and leave
>find more friends, hang with them, buy some posters, etc
>realize my phone's missing, really close to having an anxiety attack
>friends try to calm me down, we look around for about an hour, no dice
>one of my friends was on staff, so they ended up radioing in and asking if anyone saw the phone
>no dice
>i basically ended up moping around for most of the con, feeling awful because my wig was messed up, my makeup wasn't great, and i'd lost my phone, and all of my friends were having tons of fun except for me

But there's a happy ending, I guess.
>about to leave the con, close to sobbing at this point
>a lady walks up to me and says "did you happen to lose a cellphone?"
>i get really excited, she shows me it, it's my phone
>i describe the wallpaper so she knows i'm not just stealing some random phone
>it's definitely my phone, she gives it to me, i thank her a ton because i just got the phone and i'd be pretty fucked if i lost it literally half a year after getting it
>two of my good friends want me to take photos of them later on, so i do
>we have a snowball fight
>we all go home on the train together and go our separate ways

Speaking of cold, I wish it was fall/winter already because I'm not built to last in 20+ celcius weather. ;;

And outside of here, I do have a gmail, which is aikothetripfriend, so yeah!

Also christ, I'm trying to think of another convention horror story but nothing's coming, but I do know I've had shitty convention experiences besides the one I posted.

Hell yeah! You should try to pop by during con season or something, then you get to experience both Canadian conventions (which are usually good, with the exception of Hobbystar-run conventions, but that's a biased opinion) and some Canadian culture! And pretty much every convention is right by a Tim Hortons, so it's a win/win.

Not sure if they're on the same track, but I meant London, Canada.

Seagulls usually don't wear loli or cosplay to meets anyway, from what I've seen. I'm still a bit too scared to go to a meet, but one day, one day.

It pretty much is, to be honest. That sounds fun! If there's ever a /cgl/ meet or something and you happen to be around, I foresee a Timmies run.

It's basically what Starbucks is to a lot people, except more of a local-ish thing (by local I mean Canada-wide and some parts of the U.S. now) in the sense that people absolutely love what they have to offer.

Pretty much everything they sell is delicious (except their frozen green tea, it tastes way too bitter to be a frozen drink. Barely tastes like green tea.), they donate to charities a lot, they have their own fundraisers for children's sports and hospitals and the like, it's nice. And you can get your orders pretty fast and every Tim Hortons I've ever been to smells heavenly. That and it's actually pretty difficult to walk more than 5-10 minutes downtown and not run into one, so they're extremely convenient to get to. And apparently the guy who founded it was pretty much a saint.

There's seriously no better way to start/end a day than with a Tim Hortons doughnut and a double-double coffee.

Society's mostly somehow forgotten that people can actually be allergic to dairy and not just intolerant, so everyone's like "oh, it's not THAT bad" and then you end up with dead kids everywhere.

All this elitism, holy shit, my sides.

Ah, yes, I clearly remember. 2010, Tumblr came up with the idea of genderbending. It's not like it's been a concept for decades or anything, nope. Not at all. Totally just a tumblr thing. I was there.

You're all just mad 'cause you're angry.

Apparently she was also fucking around in the Artists Alley when it opened the day that she bailed, was charging people $10 for selfies with her and the like, and then fucked off to the aquarium.

How disgusting.

You're all just so mad.

But yeah, you can probably find generic seifuku collar patterns basically anywhere on the net. You just need a ton of green fabric and a bit of yellow is all. Seifukus are pretty simple, last I remember!

Toronto's basically a nice thriving city when there isn't some scandal about our mayor getting completely shitfaced and pissing in public or doing crack or whatever.

And yeah, cattiness is really common amongst /cgl/ and stuff. I've wanted to get into lolita (nothing extremely fancy or anything) but /cgl/ basically made me change my mind. I'll stick to cosplay.

And it's kind of surprising that lolita doesn't have a huge following over where you are, but kind of makes sense. I've noticed it's generally really popular in England and North America, mostly. And Japan, of course.
