Thank you! Yep that's the outfit I'm doing. I actually was just working on my tail! I'm kind of winging it T.B.H. Pic related is it unstuffed atm, not sure if I like the sequins/scales yet. It's a tapered tube that I'll put some wire or pic pipe for shaping.

>how many years have you been going?
7 or 8 years non consecutively I think
>cosplay?
Pic related. I don't think I'll finish Mirage in full but it would be nice. I'll have a big dragon maid group on Friday and I'm very excited.
>horror stories?
Working in cosplay repair I usually have a few. The classic puke Levi, beta Makoto, the homestuck floor
>fun things to do in Seattle?
Take the light rail up to capitol Hill for the good bars. Or U district for a whole lot of food for not a lot of money.
>any Panelists?
Schedule isn't out yet so idk. I might be on a panel about sewing knits but we'll see.

On that KatsuCon grind. It's getting really hard to balance university, work, finishing cosplay and some sleep. I'm working on Witch Mercy's staff that I downloaded and printed. I think I should have done a lot more finishing and sanding but at this point... Idc.

My lineup! Progress looks promising. Katsucon has been a dream con of mine for years and I'm so excited to finally make it a reality. Also first east coast con!

Can't remember if I ever posted my insanity project/ making Witch Mercy in the 14 days between the skin coming out and KumoriCon. I think for that time frame, it ended up pretty okay. I'm adjusting a few things and making the staff (which looks awesome so far) before Katsucon. Also that feel when one of your best pics is a bathroom selfie lol

The ladies-only meetup at AX was pretty small but it was still fun. I think we should do more in the future. While meetups can get a little awkward, I still find it worth it to go. I usually befriend at least one new person after I get over my shyness

Hand skeleton is going well. I need to adjust the pull lengths and add the thumb before the I can put the glove and claw pieces on. I've never done anything like this before so it's been really interesting.

I'll probably stop by the gathering tonight. This has been my first Kumori Con and it's been pretty nice. Oregon is kinda weird tho

>What will you be cosplaying?
Unless something else captures my heart, more god damn boats. Ooyodo Kai, Chikuma Kai2, Iowa and Katori probs.
>What are you looking forward to the most?
It's just so nice to see LA friends. AX is always really relaxing for me since I know it so well and I've been going since 07
>What are you not looking forward to?
Heat as always. I still should find a hotel room lol. However, now that the Expo line is opening up I suppose that's an option as well

I did Kaga last year and I still have her bow, arrows, and quiver at home. I'll have to check their condition but I wouldn't mind giving/loaning them to you

I had a great con! I loved how all my cosplays came out and I went to a few new panels. Repair station was great and fun as always and we even had a few new Darwin awards
>Dude wanted super glue
>Ask why he wants it since he has no visible props
>"oh my fangs won't stay on my teeth"
>nopenopenope
-----
>"Hey can you pin my tail back under my skirt? it fell off"
I figure she means by the hem and it would be quick
>nope she wants it *way* up there
>sigh and get ready to go up her skirt
oh god the smell.jpeg

---
>Another tail girl just needed a secure safety pin
>smelled like cooked cabbage but appeared hygienic wtf?

Yesterday was fun! Got to hang with Soto, Kagami, Scientist, Beanie et al.
Nice to meet you Umaru-chan! You were so cute I just wanted to pinch your cheeks!
See you guys at PMX?

I printed this that I made in illustrator and then glued it to corrugated plastic. Very light and manageable.

I'll be recovering from surgery so I will probably just pop by and say hi. Booze is probably a bad idea since I'll probably be on some hard core pain meds.

I love xKore, Glitch Mob, Zeds Dead, Blue Stahli, Celldweller and stuff like that. I like the stuff that goes loud and hard and helps me power though long trail bike rides.
I'm also weeb trash and I love this mix. https://soundcloud.com/takuyakamohara/evangelion-a-step-forward-into

Hell yeah son. I love our demons. It took me a little while to warm up to Love Death and immortality. I really like her vocals too.

Man ALA was super fun. Shout out to Dr scientist for being such a freakin awesome dude. Who knows if I can go to next years sice it's kind of at a sucky time of the year.

I haven't gotten any of my pictures back yet. I was commander Jill from cross ange all weeked and it was suuuper great when people recognized me

I'm trying my hardest to finish! That damn arm tho! At this point, making a fake stump seems like a better option. I love her so much and I know it's a little tacky to cosplay from a still airing show but she's my favorite character!

confirmed for great taste

Seconding Glitch Mob and Kyary. Sometimes I Like to listen to Zeds Dead Holiday Mixes (even though I have never found anything "holiday about them) because I feel like the extended mixing is really good for productivity. Also xKore.
This American Life or the Things You Should Know podcasts are also pretty great if you want a break from music.

follow a normal kimono/yukata patter and only sew the arm pit area. hem the top of the shoulder parts separately and voila. The top layer could be achieved using the kimono pattern but not sewing side seams or sleeves I suppose.
>>7565649
Kenshin is wearing a pretty standard gi and hakama. You could order the white hakama from any martial arts site or you could really just buy the cosplay from any cosplay website.
>>7565707

>>7567758
What >>7567778 left out is that you would also need to put on clear nail polish to the cut site before zig zag hemming it. However, I doubt these would be able to stand up on their own without garters and the tops would be yucky and warped. In my experience, buying spandex, Lycra or knit fabric has worked the best. Use a stretch stitch (machine setting or zig zag for sewing machines but if you have access to a serger, that's even better) cut out a rectangle that is as wide as you thigh at its largest and as long as you want your stockings to be plus the length of your foot and then pin it to the size of your leg. I have to go right now but i'll sketch you up something in a few hours ok?
