You know how happy I am as a guy to see another Batman running around? A good one mind you? A good one costs around 1200 and up to put together. I am ECSTATIC when I see another costume as mine cause then we can at least commiserate together about heat, money etc. I've made friends with 3 of the 4 Batmen in my area besides me. That other guy? Jackass who thinks that way. Fuck him, he's not invited to the super cool kids party.

ehhh, they kinda want you to join for something like that. its mostly cause a prop shop can get shut down in a heart beat if advertised too much. If you just want the helmet you might want to get the sideshow one, one of the old don post ones, or an ebay kit (once again, not hard to put together)

Well, on your suit you have three things going for you.
1: its well made, so people will notice that first
2: The grid structure will help hide your weight a little bit so you should be good. People will notice standing next to you but so what?
3: the muscle shading will further help point two, so you get a little extra leway.

Join the 501st. You'll find a group in your area and you can either buy a kit (one so simple to put together it's more comparable to assembling IKEA than cosplay) or if you don't want to drop the thousand on it you might have someone in the area (if your lucky) with the bucks for vac forming, lot cheaper, just have to buy the plastic and spend the day there pulling.

Note, if your looking for a full trooper costume and stuff, you're not getting out under 1k completed. Tie fighter is a tad cheaper but not by alot.

Sadly as a batman costumer I know a few people like that. I grew up on Batman and Dr. Strange personally so its always a little jarring to see a person say their the biggest marvel/dc fan ever and not know the sorcerer supreme is standing right next to them.

Happens quite often. The difference is we dont call the women creepers unless they are landwhales. If a woman grabs a guys ass, he'll turn around wink and "How you doin'?" in about the best Joey voice he can muster and go from there.

Sadly the problem with male creepers is because they read The Game and didn't learn a goddamned thing from it. Strauss talks about and teaches a blueprint of a natural conversation, but always in the book warns of coming off like a total fucking jackass and seeing women as the enemy. Ultimately the book shits on itself as a self help book with a truly brilliant line: "Self help books don't work because your self sucks." That line alone gets to the heart of the matter, and anyone actually claiming to be a pua, or trying to use any of the tricks described in it doesn't know what the fuck they are doing.

sand paper, wrap up a dowl or something along that line to give you the curve you need.

Fist get a sanding block. I dont know if you were hand sanding or using a dremel, but stop before you make the item just completely unusable. Depending on the density of what you have, get sand paper that will chew through it quick to even it out. (60 grit for wood, resin, bondo, 200 or 250 if your using something soft)
Grind that shit down in smooth long strokes down the edge to get it uniform, then once it becomes a bit smooth bump up the grade of sand paper (200 if hard, 300 if soft) and keep working your way up till its as smooth as you need.

God speed, I'd probably of started from scratch if I got to that point.

NOPE, and I'll tell you why. This is real life. If this were someones story or fiction piece they could make the reason as complicated and convoluted as they desired. Sadly in reality its always much more simple. Shitty planning and shitty decisions fucked this con over, not much else.

I'll bump on this. Just got these pics in. Lots of stuff I need to fix overall (wear the belt on the hips higher, pull the cowl back to create a bigger jaw), but I'm happy with it. I mean hey, how many people can say there the goddamed batman.
