Was going to attend either Saturday or Sunday as Naoto Shirogane but I had totally forgotten to preregister. Prices now seem too steep for a day. How much of the area is free to roam without a stamp/wristband?

The sun in my eyes didn't really help my face either. And thank you for the suggestion.

I thought putting the vinyl bones higher would look a little odd translated in real life but I'll experiment with that and see how it goes for the sake of accuracy. As for the body of the skirt, I only have one layer of tulle underneath- aside from the trim- since I was unsure how full I should have gone with it. If you think it needs to look bigger, I'll take that into consideration. Thanks for the helpful advice.

I am, it's within my province. Already have my lineup somewhat set up for it. Naoto didn't happen this AN so I'll be wearing her, Nonon again, and either Flamenco Ruby or Sapphire.

>How was your con experience?
The giant hat I wore for Nonon killed me on saturday; I ended up with a bump on my head and a huge headache. Dealers room was disappointing and I barely bought anything. But all in all, it was worth it. I got to meet up with friends I only really see at cons and so many people complimented me on my work- though I don't think I'm worthy of that praise.
>Post photos you took
I didn't take much but I'll dump what I do have.
>Find photos of you
I've only found a handful so far, my prior post being one.

Sorry to be asking about photos again but did anyone also catch me as Nonon? I was with an Inumuta. (Found this one on Rancid Yogurt Art and Accessories' Facebook album.)

Cosplayed Hitagi on friday and Nonon on saturday. I've found a few of myself and my boyfriend on saturday but nothing of our Bakemonogatari. If any seagulls took photos of us, I'd love to see them. Sorry for the selfie, it's all I took that day.

Sorry I can't refer you to anything since I worked on my own patterns, I didn't use a pre-made or bought one. Sushi Monster's own progress served as a good guideline though, so I recommend going through her album on FB.
The front white part actually gave me some trouble. The two trials before this one ended up much shorter than I'd have liked so obviously enough, you should keep your seam allowance in mind before cutting the fabrics. I don't know if you want to sew it in one piece or have it split down the middle. But I liked the look of the latter, it attaches together with hook and eye tape- what you'd have on bras.

Oh thank you! You're too kind. If you're interested, I'll be posting more progress when I get further along- so hopefully you'll see the final product on either this thread or the actual wip one.

I used stretch cotton twill and a lining. Both the pair of cuffs and collar are interfaced. Aside from the layer of trim, the box pleats also have one layer of tulle underneath.

Sorry for deleting my comment. I felt I had worded myself weirdly.
I'm happy you think the choice of fabric works, though the lighting makes it appear darker than it is.
>pic related, a shot of the sleeve before it was attached
I think that can work, though you may possibly need to modify some elements to it. Still, I recommend looking at others' wip- Sushi Monster's, for instance- just for an idea of how you should go along with your own. Box pleats really aren't as difficult as they seem.

I guess I will. Thanks!

Thank you, anon. It was my first time working without one, really- so I had quite a bit of trial and error. I followed Sushi Monster's WIP as a guideline though.

They're cut out from a white vinyl that I ended up painting whiter so it'd match up with the rest of my fabric. I'll have to do another set but it's honestly simple. the only annoying part is that I'll have to open the dress up again for more ease in sewing the new bones on.

Should I go for a length closer to the last one and work my way smaller? Or is that one still too long Haha, yeah, it's a little tacky a trim. I'll be happy to know of alternatives if you have any to suggest.

Thought I'd ask here since you guys are more likely to pick out details you don't like, which I'd like to thank you in advance for. Are the sizes of my bones too big? They're pretty inconsistent throughout the series so I'm unsure with myself now.

>What are your cosplay plans?
Hitagi Senjougahara, Nonon Jakuzure (her first school uniform), and Naoto Shirogane. I'll be with my boyfriend who will be cosplaying Koyomi Araragi, Inumuta Houka, and Yu Narukami.

>How's your progress coming?
Both the uniforms for Araragi and Hitagi are finished. I'm about halfway finished Nonon and Inumuta. Haven't started the Persona 4 uniforms yet.

>Are you staying at a hotel? Which?
We haven't booked anything yet, which is kind of leaving it late, but we hadn't planned to stay at anything that close to the convention anyways as we'll have a ride available.

>What panels/events are you most excited for?
I honestly don't really bother going to panels, I only went to one last year- a JoJo one on Saturday. I'm more interested in getting good deals for figures and manga. I'll still be going to the KLK meet since I'm interesting in seeing how many of the AN group's members actually commit to their plans and also to see the finished products of a few whose progress I liked.

>How do you feel about the guests so far?
I haven't even bothered to check since AN's guest list is generally disappointing.

>What is the flavour-of-the-year for cosplay this year?
KLK, Frozen, Don't Hug Me I'm Scared, Super Sonico, and a continuing of Fairy Tail and Sword Art Online.

Not a Ryuko cosplayer, but I think it'd be interesting to extend this question to anyone cosplaying from KLK with their significant other in general and who he/she will be going as.

I'm going as Nonon, while my boyfriend will be Inumuta.

Bought my weekend pass when they were being sold at 50$. Not sure about my third costume yet, the original plan was Lion from Umineko with my boyfriend as Will but we're thinking about doing characters from Persona- probably Persona 4- instead. I'm cosplaying Hitagi from Bakemonogatari on friday and Nonon (her 3-star silver uniform) from KLK on saturday. He's doing Araragi and Inumuta alongside me.

Really hoping the weather isn't too windy this year. I don't mind it being cold, I just wouldn't want my wigs to get tangled.

>> No.7435875 [View]

>>7435850
I suppose that'd be an option, though my advice was based on avoiding holes in the costume so that only the pouches would be affected.

I meant inverters instead of adapters, sorry for any confusion.

>>7435644
If you look at the reference sheets, Inumuta would have one battery pack hidden in the pouches per EL wire, so actually, you'd need 4 wires and 4 battery packs despite the pairs being attached to the same cuff at the start. You can get battery packs that will feed more than one wire/tape though, if that's what you want to know. It'd have more connectors but require more battery power.
