I used to go to cons by myself all the time. I made some friends at a few /cgl/ meets and now I'm not alone anymore! Also, you don't have to cosplay to enjoy your self at a con.

Aya, maybe Gamu and Tokanatsu just as an excuse to visit Milton Bryan camp site again. It's going to be the biggest nostalgia trip.

Most people I know only go to meet up with con buddies. I rarely buy tickets for the actual event any more.

I haven't been to Milton Bryan since my scout days but back then, they used to be in this building. It's an old WWII black propaganda building. It's as spooky as it is inside as it looks out. I'd be very surprised if they hadn't renovated it since then though.

It's a 10 minute drive from my house but I've never been. Hopefully I'll be going next year if I remember to book early.

I did not realise how far down my sash had slipped. Working on actual shoes for next time because the full Hobo experience isn't for me. I had a nice time but felt a little drained after rushing around a lot pre-con, moving down for Bangor on the Friday and what not. Not going to be able to make it to hyper Japan but I will be at Aya and May expo. If time permits it, I might run a panel at Aya as well but I'm not 100% set on that yet.

As I said, I'm learning. Also, that picture is me just fucking around while we were waiting around. I mainly only got a DSLR because I enjoy messing around with cameras.

I really should have remembered that P mode on my camera sometimes picks a really slow shutter speed. I was to embarrassed to ask them to pose again and they were in the middle of the hallway.

Chances are I'll still be coming to see all the people I know but I won't actually go into the excel. This year all I got was pissed off at crowds and an over priced Madoka Blind box of shrugging Sayaka. It's like she's really mocking me. Anyway, I still need to book a flight over to see you soon. It might not be any-time soon though because I'm broke and being barraged with assignments.

That's good to know. I thought it had come off and the pin was just there for repair.

I might start sticking to smaller conventions from now on. The crowds at expo are getting way too big and it's already past the point where the venue is too small. I almost lost it when some cosplayers in huge costumes were just standing in the middle of one of the bottlenecks not doing anything while people squeezed round them. It was painful to watch.
