If you're incel, that this is a hentaicon will not make up for your shortcomings in life

might ghost sat night if blizzcon isn't particularly lit

And yeah never trust what anonymous seagulls have to say about how real life interactions go, many of these people either live in their heads or intentionally exaggerate or mislead because anons think they can affect what people think using this platform (they can't)

some of us still lurk once in awhile, but generally stick to our circlejerks on social media and meetups between friends & /cgl/ gatherings at the major SoCal anime conventions

the only time i really use /cgl/ is to shill my own events. Might have a couple coming up in the next couple of months, ergo here I am

according to some kid, nobody cares if you're judgmental if it's coming from someone between the ages of 18-22 lol

other than to respond to this thread, I don't browse this board anymore. I was an adult when I started posting here.

You should try leaving the board for awhile, it's great.

this

>>9857150

generally the well run ones have staff that have been staffing other cons for decades. New cons tend to run around like headless chickens trying to see what works while not anticipating problems

>>9857356

lol fired from what? I want whatever drugs you're smoking

>>9857916

I wouldn't worry about it at all. The kids who say that stuff don't really have much sway when it comes to convention organizing, or have much influence in what actually matters at events

>> No.9850099 [View]

>>9841874

And I'm sure you posting here is proof enough you're among the emotionally stunted. This board culture is toxic for long periods of time.

No it's not. We actually sustain these industries because we actually have money.

I guarantee when you turn 30, you'll be balls deeper in your geekdoms.

Nah. Just volunteer at cons alongside your actual work experience. It can be anything from office manager, sales, marketing, to graphic designer. Eventually a tradeshow company will hire for that kind of entry leve role and work your way up into some sort of Project Manager role.

Generally event companies want event/tradeshow experience. With cons, you'll qualify. There are tradeshows for all sorts of industries, pick one.

Don't give up. :) The hours can be a little long and the work is fast-paced, but if you're a people person, have high energy and enjoy events, you'll fit in.

I was also an event coordinator in my 20s. You get better at it. By the time you're 30, you'll be a pro. Literally, in some cases. You don't get worse with experience. You don't start off doing great, you make mistakes and come across unforseen circumstances that add to your experience each time you produce.

lmao, the hyperbole is strong with this one. You write like a teenager. Nobody will ever take you seriously if you keep writing like that, but I trust you have years left to grow and someday regret the things you post here.

At best, your influence only goes as far as you can shitpost anonymously here.

Some people really are polite like this though. You probably speak in person the way your tone reads on /cgl/.

I'm willing to bet if you averaged the age of your entire BoD, that number would be between 25-30, about the time your frontal lobes are fully grown.

If it isn't, it's probably why it's still only a mid sized con at best.

I think its funny when the 18-25 year old crowd at conventions will say "eww who even comes to these once you're 30"

Do you KNOW who's actually organizing these things? Do you *really* think that same 18-25 demographic is financially responsible and liable for damages? Do you suppose the same kids that have trouble organizing a lunch or a cosplay meetup have the capacity to run an event, let alone with zero problems??

These are the same people that have trouble arriving to programming or picking up a badge. I really don't see them having the wherewithal to organize a room party, even.

>> No.9747782 [View]

lol your calls to the police won't do much.

Also I think it's funny some people who are dispensing unsolicited legal advice are advocating to sue a small con for a nebulously defined breach of contract; most of these calls to action can't even define which clause in question isn't being honored.

At best this is the personal crusade from a morally outraged pathologically disturbed person that is taking additional license to overreact and try to strongarm a con without even trying to find out more about the facilities in question.

See you at the parties. :)

All snark aside I plan on making things bigger this year, and likely in a way the SPJA won't like, revenue wise.

As always, I plan on throwing the biggest party at Anime Expo.

And as always, I look forward to reading how none of you got access and complain anonymously here.

No /cgl/ or /fit/ anons. Tripfags only.
