Convinced a friend at AUSA to get me this button set for my next bag. Mic merch is elusive and I'll take anything I can get at this point considering he only has like 2 official pieces.

The worst (Best) part is that the bag is a repurposed Hannah Montana bag that I turned into a crossbody.

I am crunching harder than I have ever crunched in my entire life. Save my soul I have to compete in this at AX. The electrometer on my hip has two power cells in it and can hold my wallet and my phone i'm so proud.

I think it looks nice. the Ditto Raichu's are especially cute. You might want to move the pokeball up a little bit so its not covered by the ditto Raichu but it looks great!

I've finally made some leeway on my Junker bag. I'm gonna get the whole front covered and then sew a layer of vinyl over it to prevent any damage. I've still got some space to go.

The sunglasses are good quality for the price. Easily way better quality than some others I got for around the same price. The lenses are strong against scratch marks since they're just dyed acrylic, and the darker colour on top helps a lot when looking at the sky. Aside from a screw loosening a bit (Which happens to all glasses eventually) its comfortable and fits my face well. Here's what it looks like on me so, its a pretty good fit for smaller heads.

I also did a small haul of office supplies so if anybody likes space themed pens and notebooks here you go.

I have a pair of the top middle ones! They're by far my favourite sunglasses yet. The lens tinting on the outside does scratch easy though, so if anyone's planning on getting one be careful. The lenses also bulge out a bit and extend past the frames so, don't be like me and put them down face-first on a table.

Thanks for the advice! I fixed the bangs a bit recently and did some more solid spiking so, the wig should look better in other photos. I'll look into the around the eye thing. I just didn't want to go full black around them and then have it look weird ya know?

Anyway, I'll post again because I made this in 6 hours and I'm pretty damn proud of it. Missing the collar right now, but I might make her Young Justice arm socks and switch out the heels for her boots.

Various array of things I've recently wishlisted, carted, and already received that I thought some gulls might also like. The mushroom nightlight changes colours and adjusts it's brightness according to how bright the room already is. The book crossbody bag is some kind of replica of something lolita I think but I'm not wearing it with the fashion. I just think it looks really cool and would be nice to own. I can drop links if anybody wants anything.

On the completely other spectrum, when it comes to showcases and cosplay competitions that include skits, it's really a luck of the draw. I ended up winning a Best Drama one year as Youngster Joey and my skit was just me telling the pokemon trainer on the end of the phone that their soul belonged to me. It was a small convention and I entered on a whim, but as far as creativity goes when coming up with showcases as long as it's original content, clever, and well executed, it usually does well. Of course, if it's a copy performance from a show or movie (ex: Hellfire from Hunchback), and its performed really well, that usually does well too. More often than not if a showcase has good choreography and good music it'll do well.

Though on a personal note, even if it's a construction based contest, I think that personification of the character is a very important thing. If a person were to enter with a top notch cosplay, but didn't sell me on the character (Unless it was design based and didn't have a personality), then I would give it points for being nice, but I wouldn't pin them as convincing. But that's just me.

Contests are a good way to learn from people around you and get inspiration for future cosplays, so I like them. Competing is a good time.
