I usually don't like super product stiff wigs but I think this looks ok for Axel.

Puffy pants:
- Wiring on the top edges to make them stiff and stick out
- Inner fabric lining with tulle in between lining and outer layer to keep pants puffy. Didn't want to use stuffing. That's probably it.

Shoes(progress pic attached):
- Skate shoe base with enlarged cardboard sole glued on to skate shoe sole.
- Newspaper and tape built up to create shape
- cover shape in duct tape that matches majority colour of shoes
- Put fabric over shape in design of shoe
- Create black craft foam sole, seal, spray with truck bed spray for durability
- Attached dried soles

I think that's just my face (pic related. Pretty much 0 contouring here). I also don't use grey tones to contour. Lighting+wig can give me stupid shadows.

I dyed the wig using alcohol and FW acrylic artists ink. Because fuck sharpies.

Base wig was a Silver Clover from Cosworx. The FW ink colours I used were Purple Lake and Process Cyan. I have a bottle of black FW ink so I might have put a drop of black in there too. I mixed them together in the alcohol to get a colour I thought I liked then I dipped a qtips in it and let it dry to kind get an idea what the end colour would be. This required a few qtips and some colour adjustment.

Once I got what I liked, I set the wig on a plastic bag and used a thick wide paintbrush to brush the alcohol ink concoction on. Let dry, then finish the rest of the wig that way.

They are the same brand from the show and well.. they aren't $100. Tsukishima's actual court shoes will run you at least $130-200 though.

Well I'd say part of it is how easy the cosplays are. How can you say no to $25 full uniforms. If you're super lazy that is pretty much all the spending you'll do.

I've only fully watched/read Haikyuu!! so I can't comment on the quality of the other sports things. I don't mind Haikyuu!! but thought Free! was shit from the first 4 eps.

Probably just walking around and seeing all the cosplays. People watching and stuff. The Haikyuu gatherings I went to were pretty fun though.
