He still does the same thing and we consider him to be our MC of the gatherings

I was going to run a gathering but SacAnime was "lol nope, you can't meet because you missed our deadline despite the fact that we only told people on the forums and not on the main page and we won't allow mini gatherings"

I was Arena!Junpei Friday evening and all day Saturday and was first up for walk-ons at the Masquerade

When the Hyatt held Kintoki-Con in 2011, the hotel's staff were often clashing with the convention staff. But what really got the hotel in hot water was when a Guest of Honor was serving minors beer during an event. That's why Kintoki-Con had a hard time finding space in 2012 and then finally the Holiday Inn took them in for 2013.

The Hyatt did not host any room blocks at SacAnime Winter because of what happened at Kintoki-Con. I guess they finally saw the brighter side of conventions and the potential profits (the area is expected to bring in more than a million dollars in revenue), so they opened up their hotel for Sac Summer.

I was looking at Project Anime, SPJA's "convention within a convention" and noticed that Fanime was one of the attendees
Hopefully they saw the smoothness of AX's barcode system and they go with that for all reg (including AA, press, and industry)

If anything, Fanime was sandbagging and saving up for what could be an GoH-loaded 2014
But if that's the case, then anything short of bringing Miyazaki and Tiffany Grant could spell failure after what happened last year
