Well, it /is/ homestuck cosplay. I don't mind critique, if you have any, other than proportion of the gun since the point was to follow the comic.

the way its proportioned in the comic it fits so much more comfortably like a bazooka, and even in the comic from what i can see its fixated that way.... unless im just assuming too much! Though, his is "riflekind".
I dunno, you guys. Comic proportions can be pretty silly. To each their own preference.

I probably cannot hold the rifle in the most perfect way, but i did what i could with the way the gun was designed. I had the intent of copying the source material as best as I could. The original way I had it positioned was so the curve of the butt (butt?) could fit my shoulder like pic related.

to be honest, i agree. I wanted the ridges on the bottom to be more bubbly like pic related, but i did what i could with the resources and time i had.

if you're worried about me/other cosplayers reaching the trigger, I had no difficulty reaching and acting as if it was a real gun. I tried to follow Eridan's Hero Mode as closely as possible.

ok, so; I've made every prop that ive seen eridan have in the comic (gun, computer, wand, wizard hat, trollian glasses, red faygo), is there anything else i can do to make this costume stand out? Besides having a partner, that is.

maybe you should try powdering it with a little bit baby powder? a lot of the lipsticks i get are cheapo ones that smear the same way so i set them like i set the rest of my makeup and it keeps it from smudging.

ohh, thank you! i probably wont bring it to the photoshoot then. Plus considering how cumbersome big props are. i was only planning on having it for a private shoot and a little bit of the con day, and then swapping out for the wizard hat & wand duo for the rest of the day + shoot.

im a bit weary of paper macheing since thats how the last one was made and it was less than good. i wanted it to be solely styrofoam so it would be nice and light for me since i am quite small (ie weak as hell), though ill try to get some help.
im pretty careful with my props, though, i dont think it snapping would be something id be worried about.
(if it counts for anything, though; its not just one board of foam, but 3 that have been adhered together. it was awkwardly difficult for me to saw some parts even/break them off, i dont see it being, say, dropped, a threat to me. though i could be wrong.)
thank you though! im definitely going to reinforce the trigger gaurd, grip, and scope. the scope already snapped off...

i went to go put them on without suction but i feel like they're going to take away from my makeup and expressions... they look OK to me on my forehead, but with the circlet it feels kind of busy? Although i do think that is my best choice (or i could put them on my eyes for some photos and just wear them on my forehead at the con...)

How does one go about using actual goggles for Feferi? I really do not like how punched out glasses look but when i put real goggles on my my face, it suctions my eyes and makes me look really awkward, but when i put them on top of the wig they bunch up the hair around it (pic related; its a makeup test from earlier this week). I was thinking about just making a pair of goggles that are big and round like glasses but i dont know.
secondly, would using an actual swimsuit and getting it screenprinted be a bad idea? my old one was a ribbed tank and it did me no justice.
and lastly any general tips for feferi? I know HSG's motto is there are no good seadwellers so id really like to stand out.

ahhh, no.. its r63 eridan /and/ kanaya. Im working really hard though to better the genderbend so it wont be ooc and low quality like the past 2. (lace front, actual pants, better cape cowl, better makeup, etc) im working really hard on doing all of his canon outfits.
