Gloves are best done hand stitched. I bought a glove pattern on eBay for $10 and made a pair of long gloves with it. It took forever because hand-stitch but fit well when done. Be careful what fabric you use: don't use satin! Cheap satin will pull and tear and you'll have holes at the seams and that sucks.

This will probably be my last post on 4chan for a while. I now have 2 full time jobs and will be moving soon.

Honestly, most of the stuff on here except for a few complicated pieces can be made from sme very basic patterns that you can buy at Wal-mart or online (I recommend online). Get something for a blazer/jacket pattern and you can use it as a base to make suits and coats (just lengthen all the main pieces and bow it out a bit). Patterns for pants and bodices aren't hard to find. If you're new to sewing, find something easy to start with first like a shirt or pants w/out pockets and fancy things. After a few projects move on to something harder like a blazer. Every cosplay item I've made (except a select few) can be made from a pattern you can buy for a couple bucks. Get on eBay or go to the manufacturer's website. Heck, thift stores and Goodwill sometimes have patterns too.

I got a job yesterday and don't have as much time to get on here now. I was trying to make a detailed suit pattern that could be easily modified but decided it better and faster to scan an actual pattern for it than to draw it out since there are so many pieces. But I don't have access to a scanner so I kinda got stuck. And I don't want to nor have time to spend 10+ hrs in paint to piece out all the patterns now.
Not really sure what to do now since I really do want to help you guys.

Well, first you measure the circumference of the sleeve hole. Then you make sure the sleeve matches it when you cut it. Then you measure both again. And then you attach them when it's time to do so. It's not that hard, really. I spend way more time on the torso than the sleeves.

Alright I am working on a suit pattern that can also be used as a pattern for a coat. This is what I have so far: the main 6 pieces used to make it, minus the sleeves. Sleeves are easy. Will include actual directions in the empty space soon as well as sleeves and other attachments.

I am no good with tight bodysuits, especially one piece suits. Sorry anon. Maybe someone else here can help you though.

A catsuit pattern can mean many things, anon.
Can you draw a rough sketch of what you want or just describe it?

This isn't any harder than >>7751355.

This is pretty close to a basic lolita dress, except for the sash over the shoulder. The grey fabric w/loose threads is basically a spiraling pleat.

Have you ever sewn anything before, anon? I guess it would help if everyone posted how much experience they had with sewing along with their requests.

Ah, that's not too hard. You'll need to use some good interfacing for this one, though--especially where the stripes are. # of pieces cut out of fabric are in the pic this time, but remember to cut half of what is written in the pic for the amount of interfacing to use.

Oh man, I wouldn't even know where to begin with that! I've never done anything like it before and my family would be totally creeped out if I tried to make one and wonder about me even more than they do now. Sorry anon, I don't think I can help with this one. But maybe some other kind anon can?????

Also, the most important pieces for bigger boobs will be (surprise surprise) the two front pieces. Give yourself some extra width (but not too much!) around the upper curve when you're cutting the fabric for a better fit and make sure you match the notches as you sew it.

Damn, girl. I'm a 36C/D myself and already have back problems. At least your future mate will be happy. I know how to piece it out, but if you want it to fit real well you'll need to order an actual pattern. For a good bodice fit check out this pattern, which you can also use for a lot of lolita dresses: http://www.simplicity.com/p-8766-misses-special-occasion-dress.aspx

Not true. You can be good at actually sewing and getting the stitches right but lack the creativity to create new patterns. It's not uncommon and it doesn't make you a bad semstress or whatever the male counterpart is.

>>7750372
Alrighty, here's the white top part. Good luck putting it on when you're done, anon. Use a very stretchy fabric for this one (aka spandex/cotton blend). The small strap between the two buttons should be a strong piece of elastic and the buttons go on last. For the black bordering just use hem tape. For the pants, I bet a regular pair of white capris will do you but you'll have to make the leather gear or buy it. Use a piece of string or some yarn to measure the length of the pieces that wrap around your neck and torso to make sure you get some length. Always cut a little bit larger than what you measure when you're new: you can always take it off later, but if you cut it too short the first time you just ruined all that fabric. Cut two pieces of the main piece if you want to try it with a liner for more comfort.
Anything else on this you want me to do?

Yes, the zipper goes in between. You'll have a back left and a back right. You can see the top of the zipper in the picture.

Yeah, I'm used to doing fitted bodices too. Never made one like that. I'd say do pic related, where the length of the grey line is from your shoulder to your belly button and add 6 inches of slack. The back of the bodice is two pieces and shouldn't be hard but I could draw it out if you really wanted me to. The rounded collar is its own piece.

That really is the only picture like that I have. Maybe you could posterize it and play with the contrast/saturation a bit to make the details easier to pull????? It's okay if you can't do it.

Can you post a pic of the bottom part of his suit too? And the backside? Some suits have that split in the back and some don't. I also need to know how long it is.

>>7750372
Mmmmmm.....that's a hard one. But I'll give it a shot. Helping a friend of mine with his computer for a few hours, then I'll work out the patterns and post them. Be patient, anons.

>>7750374
This is probably not hard. Post a pic though as there are variations.

>>7750408
I probably can. Post a pic please???
