There's a fair amount of people here now but there's still plenty of parking..especially on the B side.

I was thinking of hosting something but I have to talk to some venue people and see how much it would be and work out a ticket cost.
The only big worry I have is that not enough people will RSVP to cover costs.

Same! I cosplayed Nayru a loooong time ago and only a handful of people ever recognized it, even at LoZ gatherings.
Its a shame Ages gets no love because it has quite a few cute designs.

>Young me cosplaying sealed form of Chrno from Chrno Crusade.
>Cue every person ever thinking its fun to pick me up and swing me around.
>Run into hambeast Rosette cosplayer who wants to tell me aaaallll about her incest Rosette/Joshua fanfic.
>People pull at the braid of my wig constantly.
>Embraced from behind by a girl who gropes me and is shocked at feeling my bound boobs.

All of this in one day and all by other ladies.

If you have the Vampire Prelude OP I would love to buy it direct. Its the only dress in the Vampire series I don't have and I'm dying to complete the set. The only color I'm not interested in is the red one.

Yep. I wore Metas Happy Cake skirt in black for my birthday last year.

It was cute but ultimately not my preferred style so I'm probably going to sell it.

Great idea! We can definitely ask the designers to possibly submit what they'd like played. Thanks!

Of course! I mean, the event is for you guys! We want people to have a nice time and it's frustrating for us to have to deal with all the silly hoop jumping from the hotel.

Hopefully next year we'll be able to be put in a room where we're allowed to move things around, have our own tech help and be able to do a bit more.
We were in a "main events" room and weren't allowed to move things around or mess with anything in there ourselves. It's frustrating for everyone to have to deal with that and I understand that it's boring to have to wait through hiccups like that.

What type of music would you guys like to hear for the fashion show next year? Upbeat J-pop or more of a classical instrumental? Or a smashup of the two?

I found them at Forever 21 of all places! They make matching compacts and hairbrushes too. I couldn't find the brushes at my location though.

Hi, I'm the quiet talker..lol. I really apologize for that! I wasn't sure how far I had to lean into the mic to be heard. I'm totally okay with people telling me to speak up though! How else would I know?
I appreciate the feedback. We were actually discussing some of the things that you brought up and it'll be fixed for next year. I'm so sorry about the technical difficulties we had. Our organizers laptop fried the day before and she had to get a new one and couldn't get it to sync properly.
We're kind of limited on the things we can get for service since we *technically* aren't supposed to be serving things at all.(Con center food court contract blahblah.) Getting things to aid in service from the hotel is like pulling teeth too. The water carafes that we did have actually belonged to staff.

Again, I really appreciate the feedback and if it hasn't already been seen I'll pass it along to everyone else!

I show up every year. I think people have a hard time finding others in that place. I know someone usually has the seagull sign but it's on a stick and I doubt anyone wants to hold it up and wave it around forever.

Would anyone mind if I made a sign to tape along the outside of one of the tables? That way people walking by can see and it can give everyone's arms a break?

Will people actually show up this year? Every time I go it seems like it's always only three to four people at max.

> Dressed as Coraline at Dragoncon, carrying around the Little Me doll as a prop.
> Suddenly surrounded by a herd of kids whose Mom wants a picture with me.
> I crouch down and take pics and small talk with the Mom.
> Smallest girl tugs on my raincoat and gestures for me to bend down.
> I do and she whispers in my ear " Your doll is The Other Mothers SPY!"
> I pretend to be shocked and say "Really? Wow, thanks for telling me!"
> She nods solemnly and says "Be careful Coraline."as she walks away.
> My con is made.

I went as Arc from III. Sadly I don't have any decent pics.

>> No.7541771 [View]

I'll be there a day early for once and I'm actually in an on-site room.

I think the only things I'm bringing cosplay wise is Trixie to get pictures with a friend and maybe my Vivi since I've only ever worn it once before.
I'll also be in a sailor themed lolita coord at some point.

Ugh..I know this feeling. It seems like I get behind this kind of person EVERY TIME I go to Jo Anns.
At mine there's no such thing as going in and getting something "really quickly". I have to go in today and I'm giving myself an entire hour for the process of getting fabric for one blouse.

I would die of happy for a good The Tick cosplay. I've wanted to cosplay El Seed for ages myself.

I have a couple of cute stories. I'll share my favorites.
>Dragoncon, I'm dressed as Coraline and I have the doll as a prop
>All day I have kids and their parents ask me for pictures.
>Kids are all adorable and sweet.
>Get mobbed by five of them and their Mom.
>Smile and pose and when the pic is done the littlest one tugs my sleeve.
>I kneel down and she leans in and whispers to me "Your doll is the Other Mothers SPY!"
>I pretend to be surprised and I thank her for telling me.
>She gives me a really serious look and says "Be careful Coraline" and leaves with her family.
>I stand there and just go to goo on the inside at the cuteness.

Oh man, I've cosplayed Chrono around this time and it was impossible to find a short wig for the base and extensions that actually matched.
Even sharpie dyeing it didn't help..
Ahh those were the days.

Oh man, it's worth every penny to go! I had a blast just sitting and people watching.
Going to that con was like being five again. I walked around just pointing at everything going "HEY THERE'S A _______!!" "LOOK AT THAT _____!!"
It was awesome.

Oh, and if you drink get yourself a Voodoo Juice. You will not regret it.
