You could do scallops but if it was me I'd do a lettuce edge. It will look nicer in real life. You'd have to use a knit though but there are some nice thick knits out there.

You might just want to get wooden doll hand and hold onto them inside your sleeve. Or doll legs are usually done with printed tights or rubber bands around the knees. You could do something similar with those rainbow loom bands but don't know what that would do for circulation. The snakes arent' a base idea but it might be tough finding osmething that fits your hands closely enough that oyu could still be dextrous. Look into some FMA Automail tutorials and you'll see that most of those have only the tops of the fingers covered with joints while wearing colored gloves to allow the underside to stay flexible.

You can try to fix the mask by heating up the plastic around the eye holes and pushing them out a bit. Also buckram seems like overkill, you can pull off the same look with some soft sheer white fabric that might be more accommodating. IF you think you might need to start from scratch try cutting a curved piece of plastic out of a dollarstore trashcan.

Get heavy, shiny posterboard and cut/fold them into pyramids. Put the seams on an edge. fill the insides with hotglue, foam chunks or something else to make them sturdier. Coat the outsides in Plastidip. Paint with a metal spraypaint.

>bias tap
Dont use bias tape it not really meant to lie flat and straight and most of the kind you buy in a store is really cheap and thin. You need twill tape.

>>8274565
Never use foam for a thin sword like a katana. Wood will always be a better option. Foam only works for big chunky swords. Even with a core like a dowel foam will chip if hit wrong at that thickness. Look up Chioky's bleach zanpakuto tutorials for basics.

OR an easier way is to go to eBay/amazon and look up a prop wooden katana meant for a bleach cosplay in the length you want. Your's is pretty long so "Ichigo bankai wood" should find you one. These things are great because they're so mass produced the usually only cost $25-40 and are kind of crappy so they are easy to disassemble. Sand the finish off and repaint it silver or just paint the silver right on if it's one of those glossy black finishes.

I've tried so many times to make good katana blades from scratch and it's a frustrating shape. with these suckers no only do you get a good shape for the blade but a sheathe as well. I've got a small stock of wood bleach swords meant for characters no one likes that sold for about $10.

Get some mirrored window tint and cover the lenses of some nerd or granny glasses off ebay. It won't really be solid white but you'll actually be able to see out of them and the effect is still cool.

Does anyone have anything on Floatacon? I just vaguely remember it from my CosplayFu days that someone wanted to have a convention on a cruiseship and it looked seedy as fuck and cost a ton and someone drew a super kawaii ship holding a yaoi paddle. If someoen had that image saved I would die of awe.

Go to the dollar store and find plastic placemats. Cut them into circles and spray paint gold. Get a pack of boncy balls or sit in front of the quarter machines until you have enough. Cut that shit in half and paint them metallic red. If they have to look like jewels then google for a printable 40% off Michaels or Joanns coupon and buy a bag.

Acrylic sheets shaped with heat over a positive mold probably. Might be hard to find acrylic in the right shade and thickness though.

Hot glue = no. White glue on the ball then carefully layer on fiber and hold it in place with string or whatnot and let it dry. Some people can do it with just hairspray but I don't have that kind of magic.

Non-shiny/thick knit spandex would be my first suggestion, but it can be tricky to work with if you're starting out. But it drapes really nice and doesn't wrinkle. Otherwise a lot of things can work as long as it isn't thin quilting cotton. Satin, thick knit, microsuede or gabardine maybe. Go to your fabric store and give stuff a feel, crumple it up to see how it wrinkles. If you're going to Joann google coupon they almost always have 40% off.

Look for dark tshirt transfer paper. A windbreaker shouldn't melt as long as the iron isn't on for too long. Or do what >>7023495
said and sew it onto the jacket with a zig/zag stitch or fabric glue. Through the edge of the cotton would need a little Fray Check or a little bit of glue on the edge to keep it from fraying. Make sure the image is a really high resolution while printing.

>>7022333
Look up Sarcasm-hime's sword making tutorial if you want to look into wood. It's my personal favorite. Chioky's katana tutorials if you're making katanas. Though I don't recommend his method of tracing hte curve with a pvc pipe. Trace a display katana or a boken.

Look in the xmas section of Michaels/Joanns/Hobby Lobby for small clear baubles where the top hook pops out. Or I know Michaels specifically has packs of clear bubble thing in the floral/wedding sections but they have a seam and you'd have to drill in a hole. You'll have a lot of extras but better than paying for a single one from some specialty plastics place.

Recomending the helmet piece from a Darth Vader toy helmet for original Char. I grabbed one myself from a yard sale, has a thick band going down the middle so it needs to be dremeled out then put back together but it would be perfect once that's done.

That satin was a lovely pick and so was the fur. I can't find anything wrong with the costume dayum. A little sleeve rumple but that's hard to avoid when building from scratch.

I can order the plastic and make hte vecotr, but can't actually cut it until Auguest. I'm across the country away from my laser cutter. I can add hearts at the end or something too. Anything that can be vectored in corel, flash or illustrator can be done.

Let me know how serious you are about this because I can make it happen. Though that pink plastic would have to be special ordered.

I'm a little butthurt by you lumping me together with Kyandi/Starlight deco. Especially when my garnet orb is very different from theirs. Even more since I'm not ignoring heavily male fandoms either. Most of these aren't listed yet because I'm still restocking post-con.
