Yeah, I noticed that. Saw them reply "enjoy that deferral form" or something to that extent to someone that didn't like their policy, among other snarky replies.
I'm actually someone that is taking the pandemic seriously to some extent, but even I can see how incredibly fucking stupid it is to announce covid policies this far ahead of a convention.
Between that and their snarky remarks, they only serve to alienate people. AnimeNEXT needs to sell as many tickets as possible if they don't want to go out of business. They've already cancelled twice. And the convention hasn't been growing, and I'm pretty sure they were assuming it would be when they moved to the AC venue.
I expect that within the next year they'll be begging for handouts much like Otakon did. Let's see how fucking smug they are then.
