Just DM the seller. Most of the time they will not accept international sales to weed out the Yuros who won't pay over $20 for shipping. If you send a polite message and explain you understand shipping to your country is expensive and you're more than willing to pay for tracking, the worst that could happen is they say no.

No, why people have to drag any sort of politics into lolita. It's a fashion subculture, but they(mostly on rufflechat) act like it's this big movement. And everyone expects that lolita supports their cause. Sjws screaming about how it's inclusive and feminine, AntiSjws being edgy for not for sake of just being edgy, but to spite others and make drama, but like, why should I care? I really think mods on RC should make some rules about politics or ban the discussions about them. I want to talk about dresses, not some "hot topics" from another side of the globe.

I had more experiences with measurements being too small desu. Apart from the infamous unicorn dress fiasco where the measurements were almost 10cm off I also bought the Antique Doll re-release and from my experience the bust was way bigger and waist smaller than listed. A couple of other dresses I bought the waist was 2cm smaller than listed and the bust was slighly too big. I also bought dragon-chan release and while it had excellent fit it is too high waisted for my taste and looks quite awkward with the belt being worn. Has anyone else noticed that classic lolita brands seem to be declining in popularity/closing? Is the reign of classic over? What do you think will take it's place? Most recent pieces have the 0 option, but they're still larger than Moitie. Here's the chart for the L'art de l'existence OP. My waist is around 56 ~58cm, so 70cm gets kinda frumpy.

Yes! The bust is another problem. I'm pretty much flat, so I often have to wear a padded bra to make their dresses better on me. Last one I bought was Paysage, and it was a bit larger than the measurements provided.

Your measeurements are really tiny and JetJ's standard size 1 has been 68cm for like a decade. So most of the their stuff would be too big for you regardless of the release year. As someone with ideal measurements though (85cm bust and 65cm waist) almost none of their recent stuff fit me properly and it's always a gambling if it turrns out too large or too small.

There are usakumyas in many different sizes, the standard "large" size is usually referred to as the rucksack, but there was a special release of a mega big Usakumya in 2017:

It's the largest one in pic related and it's 70cm tall, apparently.

It actually is. I've talked with a shoemaker that had their own type of "vegan leather" they produced themselves, which was much better than the shit type you see in lolita. They stopped making it pretty quickly because of what it did to the environment and it was such a pollutant. Plastics are far more dangerous to animals in the wild than humanely killing a single animal for leather and other products.

It's not unique to milennials or any specific age group, from what I've seen; most girls are brainwashed to think that motherhood is just a stage in their life and they have no choice but to go through with it, rather than a conscious mature choice they may or may not make; when these girls grow into women they're shamed if they say they don't want children, and the older they grow the more the shaming turns into pity.
TL;DR people think we HAVE to have children and if we don't that means we're somehow damaged, regardless of how old we are.
In all honesty, I'd much rather have Baby than a baby.

You'd have to spend months in a subtropical environment for leather rot to set in.

Meanwhile, pleather (the kind used today especially by lolita brands) is plastic synthetic materials, not fabric synthetics. The fabric pleather of the 70's was good shit (which is why a lot of cars from the 70s used it as upholstery). Plastic-derived pleather is the shit that peals and cracks because it has no durability, flexibility, and resistance to environmental changes (e.g. going from air conditioning to outdoors where it is humid).

I heard it too many times when I first got into lolita. As someone slightly taller(167cm) and with unfortunate build I thought I wouldn't be able to wear it. I was skinny fat but most of my friends were thinner and shorter, so when I heard this "clothes for kids" stuff I was terrified. Then I measured myself and to my surprise my measurements were still small enough to fit mostly everything.
But yeah, I agree with old-school sometimes. I remember seeing meta skirt with 55cm waist. Still not something completely ridiculous tho.

What? I said I don't think either of them are anachans. 45 kg at that height is barely underweight and is perfectly acceptable, but 40 kg is only 16 bmi and can look concerning on paper if you don't know anything else. 5 kg gain/loss can make a big difference on a short person.

I don't know what you're bringing up Japanese sizing for either. The average young Japanese woman is the same height but weighs 50 kg which is higher than both anons. I guess jfashion-especially lolita- sizing could run a bit smaller, but it's usually baggy on the models (who are thinner than the average).

She's fucking dumb. Your skin will dictate what colors look better on you, that's just basic color theory, but sweet lolita unironically can look better on darker skinned people than lighter skinned people because they can make the bright pastels pop really well. You just need to coord to balance it differently than light skinned people for it to not be visually distracting - and I think that's the real issue at play. It's the reason why someone like Prince (RIP) used to be able to pull off purple and pink so well while outfits like this would have been a lot harder to pull off with a more pale skin tone. Just balance, that's all. Just like how you wouldn't do Asian makeup if you have a Caucasian face, try to dress up a little differently to accentuate things that are harder to pull off for others. Play to your strengths. Pastels can look stunning if coorded for your skin tone. Alternatively, they can look like shit on someone with pasty pale skin who's natural pink tone makes them look like a pink blob, but they can coord accordingly with enough color balance to avoid that if they know their way around colors.

There are multiple types of chrome-tanned leather and some of them are very eco-friendly. Also it is easier to remove chrome from the water supply post-tanning than it is to remove all the weird chemicals left over from making plastics. There are also multiple types of veg-tanned leather. And let's not forget BRAIN TAN. Although it wouldn't have the right hand or appearance for a bag like the Moitie one. The only one I rarely use that I might consider selling someday is the poofier A-line considering mostly classic uses A-line and most classic doesn't need much poof. Recently bought a longer length item though so I need to buy a longer petti soon as well.

4 (low poof and higher poof A line and cupcake, layered if necessary). I need a long one as well though, I have a longer A line dress that has a little bit of drop off and am getting a tea-length dress in the mail soon.

>>9967673
4 is pretty normal for a reasonably sized/varied wardrobe, I would say 6-8 is ok if you wear a variety of lengths and shapes and you could get away with just 1-2 if all your dresses are similar/the same cuts

I have nine, different lengths, colors, low poof and high poof. There's one I never use, bit of a miss buy when I started Lolita and bought a square dancing petti (pic related but without the green stuff) because I thought the advice was "the more poof the better". Thing doesn't fit under any of my dresses without looking ridiculous, have never worn it, and it is at the back of the closet for emergency halloween costume needs. Two white (one off brand, one VM), one pink off brand, one lilac (boz), one beige (VM), four black (one BPN, two off brand, and the huge one I never use). Don't rule out buying longer ones in different colors to peek out of longer, classic dresses. I store them all folded in laundry bags inside one big bag. They will all revert to the amount of poof desired when washed and aired. Usually have one or two out at the same time.

I have two bloomers, one black (IW), one white, and will be wearing them for the first time in fall. If they're extremely comfortable in winter may be buying more.
