Get a chest made of wood. Adding the right paint can make one fit in almost any room. Plus, if it's flat it doubles as a table/chair/foot rest.

I'm thinking about painting my walls a medium gray. Black is the Goth color dujour but I don't want my room to look too small and suffocating. Should I go for the grey, and if so, would black curtains work? What do you gulls think.

Floor to ceiling shelves/giant drawers. I fold my fabric so that you can see and touch all of the fabrics when you've opened the drawer without having to take everything out, like Konmari-img my sock draw but fabric. I also have sticky notes on the outside of each drawer with how much of each fabric I have inside.

I really didn't find homeware stuff that worked well for goth there, except for some of the second hand brand stuff from CC and Maiden. Regular homeware places there I feel cater for the more cutesy feminine look overall which is likely to suit classic/sweet styling, and "kawaii" style stores e.g. Sanrio often do homewares too. The generic discount stores like Don quijote also have homeware things

Well, most of those are plushes... What exactly are you looking for? The one resting on the headboard, or the floral one in the back?

For plushes, you can look for things like hugging plush, pillow plush, etc - I know Pusheen has done some bigger plushes, I have a hamburger plush from "cottonfood" that is really comfy/soft and I use it as a pillow on my couch.

I've had good luck from my local mall's "cute japanese" import store in finding cute pillow items.

i'd try aliexpress, and just steer away from replicas. a lot of the designs are pretty simple so I don't think you'd get many derpy ones. My mom bought me a rilakkuma face pillow and it looks derpy as hell

I think you can depending on your furniture - are you bringing dark wood accents in? If you're just going for solid rather than printed bedsheets dark colours shouldn't be too difficult to find, your comforter/duvet cover is probably more important.

Okay, so there's a wall that's about 16 feet long in my room that is covered in wallpaper. I'm not allowed to take the wallpaper down or paint over it, so I've been trying to think of ways to cover it.

I know that there's peel and stick wallpaper that isn't supposed to leave any residue behind, but it's pretty expensive to cover a wall this big.

I was thinking about hanging fabric across it, but I wouldn't be able to paste the fabric against the wall, so I would have to use pins to keep it up, or maybe double side sticky tape?

My question is, would either of those two methods work? Or would it eventually start looking pretty lumpy?
