I disagree that MM doesn’t run small. The busts and waists might be more generous than expected, but I’ve always had issues with shoulders, sleeve lengths, etc. The designs overall are for more petite people even if the generic measurements can go higher than expected. I can do their skirts and JSKs no issue, but have never found a jacket, bolero, or OP that fit me due to my height.

I'm tall too (178cm) and I have trouble finding things that fit in terms of length/shoulder for most brands, but MM hasn't been significantly more difficult to shop for in my experience.

Some of their shoulder do run narrower than the 35-36 that most brands stick to, but those releases also tend to have puffed sleeves where the garment shoulder width isn't supposed to be the actual width of your shoulders. And their sleeves aren't shorter than the sleeve lengths AP or Baby releases.

I am hyperventilating right now, Farutetto in peacock is my holy grail.
The only info I could find was a recent thread in the Lolita Updates fb group: apparently there was an article in the Le Panier magazine saying, I quote "They opened a pre sale for this dress in 2017 at an event. The dress in mist color will now be available to the general public"

I am so terrified, I don't know if I should allow myself to hope that I might get it at some point in the foreseeable future, or if it's too soon to get my hopes up...

Yeah it's very much tailored to the Japanese body type, where it's not just petite by European standards but the frame is shaped differently. I have an 89 bust and 65 waist so many cuts *technically* fit me but the underbust part of the bodices is cut in a way that sits extremely tight on my ribs which is really uncomfortable.

I've had to let go of several really high-tier wishlist dresses because of this bullshit :'(

Yeah man it sucks.
My guess is that MM and VM model many of their most "old-timey" cuts after victorian dresses that were meant to be worn over corsets that made the body a conical shape, when in reality the normal shape is more like a cyllinder, at least for us westerners, that's why the way bodices taper down is so uncomfortable for us.
IDK if any of this is true it's just an idea I just had, I've been watching a bunch of YT videos of people who do historical costuming so it's been interesting to compare actual historical costume recontruction and inspired eclectic styles like lolita and aristo.
