Yes! It's frustrating. Being trans doesn't give you a pass for dressing badly, and using it as an excuse makes no sense. the various shades of purple are balanced and distributed throughout the coord, and "too short" is a preference. this is standard IW length, and isn't mid thigh/crotch length, in addition to the fact that she has fucking tights on, so she is fully covered.
like i said, the makeup is questionable, but not too terrible, that may just be her go-too look. it's not like she has crazy amounts of glitter or drag-esque makeup on. the colors are muted enough that it matches enough.
honestly the only real critique here is the poorly fitting bodice and the fact that the sash isn't tied through the loops, but IW is notorious for looking terrible on everyone's torso. it looks like her torso is too thin, and too long to fit properly. That is the only real nitpick.
I don't even know who the fuck this girl is, but unless she took a giant dump on your brando, you're reaching pretty damn hard for that vendetta.

and those aren't great coords. balance and matching is a requirement. that's part of what makes lolita so good. if you can't be assed to at least try to stick to consistent temperatures then your coord will suffer.
we've cared about matching since the get-go. but now there's much more variety, big brand, indie, handmade, & offbrand, and less full-set loyalty. just because it's more difficult to match things doesn't mean should crap out and not try to balance working colors.

1. tiny top hats = super ita. especially with the anime girl on it- makes it look like those pictures of disney princesses on the official disney dresses
2. the material the dress is made of looks really low quality- the shiny fabric does NOT work with the matte fabrics of the blouse and clip on thing
3. the clip on thing! the color is much too saturated. if it was the same color as the blouse it'd look good, but as it is it looks very ita.
4. the bow around the collar looks ridiculous. if it were a ribbon like the ones on the clip on thing, it would tie the outfit together nicely.
5. the face makeup... no. the arm looks very good, but the face is not working. plus the expression makes her look constipated.
6. the colors. keep the pink- it looks very cute- but change the dress from yellow to brown or gray, keep the blue out of the coord, change the wig and shoes, get rid of the bracelet, and add some more steampunk details, like goggles or large gears. oh, and try not to pull an expression that makes it look like your dog just shat in your white designer handbag.

That's honestly incredibly true. Houston's comms ended up more asspattish than what I expected it to be coming in. I try to ask for concrit from people regarding my coords, and there seems to be a lot of hesitance, for some reason. ok so i think a big part of this is the fact that she's at work and might have to dress to a specific theme. (I know that rn we're mostly wearing prom jewelry since it's prom season). At claire's you sometimes have to negotiate a midpoint between j-fash and normie fash so you don't intimidate the customers.
