I'd like to believe that too, but the FB group and the discord groups usually prove me wrong
it's crazy though, like I've seen some baggers in person and it's bizzare that some of these ugly nerd ass people get into bitchfests with other nerdy people
over a stupid bag. Don't get me wrong, I love well put together bags and how creative people get with them. And I do think some people do deserve to get shit for not following the rules/putting out shit bags,
but think about how retarded it must look to other people to argue with other people about it over and over again or actively seek out shit to complain about when it only takes a simple click to not see another person's content.
I think at some point we all have to step back and reevaluate our salty lives.

Back on topic: Anyone got layout-tips for making a bag with 3 characters? I have matching merch for all of them but I can't quite split it into 3 sections because I also have merch of them together. Balancing it all out is more difficult than I expected.

Could have sworn I had some examples of 3-character bags but I’ll have to find them later. I’d still suggest splitting them into columns or rows and having merch with all three maybe on the edges and accented with something like a bow or rosette if it’s a badge. If you have straps of all three you could also hang those from a chain that spans the window. Depending on color scheme it might work to sprinkle them amid the character-specific sections, or use them as borders.

An anon from the last thread asked about the color for this bag. It's a very nice color in my opinion and the material has a good leathery feel to it. This whole discussion is sad. Most of the Facebook comments to that bag enjoyed the joke, even Betty herself liked the bag. It didn't seem to be malicious at all and people got a nice laugh out of it, which is kind of point of April fools. I've never understood the appeal of those grab boxes at Amiami and such places which you pay X amount of dollars and get a bunch of random stuff. I have a particular fondness for the Urban Mines style of grab bag where you get a single picture of the pile and have to decide whether you think it's worth bidding on to find out what else is in there. I took the plunge once and ended up with some rare Miku items and a bunch of keychains and pins I'd had my eye on, none of which had been visible!

Completely blind grab bags are a little less appealing, but hey, some people like gambling. I did one of the amiami ones once just to see what I ended up with, but I wouldn't do it again. I guess there are people who stalk recent reviews to get an idea of what stuff amiami's trying to get rid of and then order if they see things they like, though?

Actually happened to me. I loved the character for years and years. No amount of fandom bullshit or shipping her with the girl I hate could stop me. Pretty obscure series, cute outfit with lots of layers.

Then I cosplayed her at a con, spending months and hundreds on nice fabric. someone threw their hot drink at me (it burned my arm) then spat in my face. Calling me a whore for liking them and telling me to kill myself if I don't get murdered first.

I've never been able to look at the character since, and I haven't made a costume since either. I mean I did spend 6 hours in A&E getting my burn treated and it's scarred.

I feel your pain. In school I took woodshop and I hated it. I wasn't any good at making crafts plus worrying about slipping up and getting nixed by the power tools like a bandsaw which I didn't know how to use didn't help. One day while putting away the chisels, an idiot wasn't holding his properly and cut my shoulder. I have a nasty scar and I resent him so much for it even now years later. I've wished him death and rabies many times as this scar makes me very self-conscious when I buy clothes or if my sleeve hikes up. Makeup can only cover the ugly color. God knows how I'll ever get over it once the getting naked with a guy factor comes in.

so update with my gul'dan bag; the bag's arrived, and i've got all the commissions for the badge designs recieved finally! (it'll mostly be repeated-badge patterned for now until i commission more)
there's this one i really super like though that i definitely want to have as a centrepiece somehow; would i be better printing it on super thick paper/laminating/attaching with a flair/border with ribbon or just ordering a huge badge and maybe making a rosette?
i don't really think a rosette would suit him well, he's too, well. gross. but idk how well a laminated print would hold.

A laminated print should hold fine. I’ve seen people use stickers inside their bags before with no issue so as long as you can make it look good you’re fine

I think like a 3" badge + rosette would look the nicest, but people have used shikishi boards in bags so no reason you can't print him out super big instead if you want! If you do decide to go that route, I'd recommend a matte lamination, the shiny laminate usually looks terrible. Mount it on something sturdy so he doesn't get bent, and you can always use washi tape around the edges to make it look extra nice.
