I’m excited for the 11pm-3am $20 waterpark pass.

I have only been to this con once and while I don’t think it’s all that it’s hyped up to be, I’m still happy I’m going. Don’t care about temperature really so I’ll be Leo from kekkai sensen, pic related which is going to be so fun, and some obligatory bikini thing I haven’t found yet.

Last year my bf and I got REALLY lucky with our room ($100 floor space, shared passes but we were rooming with vendors so they ended up never using them, and our room was literally the first one next to the convention center) but this year due to his work schedule we might be going for just Friday/Saturday and staying off site with friends. @ People who have stayed off site, is it really that bad?

It's not bad if you plan ahead so that you don't need to go back and forth to your hotel. Got o the con center early in the morning or else you won't get a parking spot (or ride the shuttle if you have that option). Bring a bag with everything you need and store it in the waterpark changeroom lockers. Between the lobby, restaurants, and outdoor waterpark there's plenty of places at the kalahari to rest, eat and even take a nap, and you can use the changerooms to change into cosplay and put on make up and stuff.

Yea, this is going to be a disaster. Between free booze, cramped quarters and plenty of weebs that have never been on a boat before there is a reason no one has tried to do this. Give it one day and the whole ship will smell like a mixture of vomit (both from seasickness and booze) the worst con funk you have ever smelled, and if it gets really bad, blood from all the cosplayers who thought it would be a good idea to try and wear an elaborate cosplay on a rocking boat. This is Dashcon levels of bad idea.

The night swim really wasn't worth it to me... It was fun to hang out with my friends in the hot tubs I guess, but expect to wait at least a half hour for a drink at the bars. It was awful and just not worth it to me.

Is the Colossal lolita tea party good? I’m newer to the fashion and have never been to an anime con tea party. It seems pretty affordable compared to other anime cons and you get a decent time slot + (what sounds like) a decent amount of food, but I’m debating if I want to take that much time out of my day on Saturday (I usually reserve Saturday for showing off my big cosplay.)

Last year I think the passes were $10 a person. The pass lets you get into the water park to walk around and check things out. I don’t know if there is a max amount of time you can spectate the lake or not . I’m sure you could call kalahari and find out.
